Whoever thinks that the White House knew these were frauds but didnt say anything because they wanted to wait until the 60 mins segment aired so that they could make CBS and Dan look like a bunch of fools, raise their hand.

Seems to simple.

Lets wait and see if CBS is compelled to say where they obtained the docs, reveal their source, if they are indeed proven to be forgeries.

It would be my guess they would do this if they are innocent in this incident, at least to save face, shift blame.

Lurch and the demodunces are so blinded by hate that they can't handle reality --the country is simply tired of their condescension and far-left BS. No longer can dems simply rely on MSM water-carriers. The new media outs them every time. Elitism gone wild. I love it.

Nobody touches it when Brit gets it first. They hang back and wait for the fallout and some new connection.

Letting him know you're sending copies to his major advertisers might increase his Zantac dosage as well...

Brit said he had someone in his office to the same, and that they were identical.

In the roundtable discussion on Fox News, they pointed out the SPACE between the 147 and the "th" (also goes for the 9921 and the "st") was probably done so that Microsoft Word wouldn't automatically correct it! I can see it now...that little animated paperclip Help thingy keeps wanting to correct the error and the person who is doing the forgery is ready to smash his computer!

Would a person actually type 147th with a space between the 147 and the th? I think not.

Exactly.

What is really telling is that the person doing the dirty work is really not too bright. As I recall ..... correct that - I just tried it on Word - you CAN do keystrokes to work around the upper case 'th' and make it come out "147th" on Word. It just takes a little effort and smarts. The sign of DUmmies in the final SLOPPY output of these fraudulent documents and whoever approved them, too!

If I only had a brain!

"NO superscrip on ANY typewriters at that time. She NEVER saw superscript till PCs came out"

I typed many term papers and theses on regular typewriters and electric typewriters through the years, and none of them, even the Selectric I used, had the superscript capability. When I had to put in a footnote, I used to have to turn the roller part way down to position it slightly above the rest of the line, then use the number key to denote a footnote number. The footnote number was always the same size as the rest of the letters you were typing because there was no way to reduce it in size.

Just this morning on my way to the store, I heard the CBS news on the radio spewing and hammering W over the NG docs, and all I could do was say a prayer asking the Lord to smite W's lying enemy...I never thought God would answer so quickly! Last night, during the CBS Live thread I believe TankerKC was the first one to make the observation the docs were forgeries!KUDOS!

I think the line of defense has been hinted at by some on these threads. CBS will claim that they re-did the docs for air because they were difficult to read in their original form.

They had their chance to offer that excuse and didn't take it. They have issued a simple statement claiming they investigated and stand by the documents' authenticity.

CBS is in meltdown mode and won't reveal their source because they are too embarrassed.

The only drug testing that was done in the early 70's was those returning from Vietnam and that was spot checked. No routine drug testing was done for flight physicals that I know of and I worked in the office that got stuck with the reports coming out of SEA on drug usage.
