I live not too far from Senator Miller's office in Young Harris GA. If you want to send the good Senator a note of thanks, post on this thread. I'll print the thread out and drop it off at his office, letting them know that should he like to return a comment, I'll post it here at FR.

I was a Democrat until 1991,and changed to the GOP and have never looked back. EVERYTHING you said about the democrat party today is true,and very sad. Zell Miller is a real man. I wish I had a Senator like him (I'm from Ohio, with 2 RINO Senators).
It is a shame he is retiring.

Thank you for your tremendous speech tonight. It was inspiring to see statesmanship and integrity restored to what should be a nonpartisan debate regarding our nation's security.
Should you choose to run for national office, you have my vote.
I would also like to thank you for the interview with Chris Matthews on Hardball after your speech. Few have the stature to put him in his place as he so well deserves. Perhaps we will have better debates in the future because you stood up for what is right.

Give 'em hell Zell. I don't know what I appreciated more, your wake up call to America or the wake up you gave Chris Matthews. Way to defend our country, and the dignity of lady, all in one night. I honestly think if you were face to face with Chris Matthews that you would've knocked his teeth in for the way he mistreated Michelle Malkin.
