Zell Miller is a real man. I wish I had a Senator like him (I'm from Ohio, with 2 RINO Senators).
It is a shame he is retiring.
As you so eloquently stated you are placing your family's interests over your party's interests when the two are incompatible.
I loved your directness and humor in exposing the empty uniform that John Kerry tries to wear.
I also saw the disrespectful and combative way Blitzer and his team treated you after the convention. It's like this group, and other journalists, have been trying to find something negative (anything)to diminish the impact of this convention. Last night it was the Bush girls and tonight it was you and Cheney.
I hope you remind this press that what they describe in tones of mock shock as the extreme "anger" they heard tonight that none of them seemed to be at all disturbed by Sharpton during his high octane speech at the Democratic convention. Or the street protestors spitting and swearing at RNC delegates. Or Michael Moore's rants, Franken's almost physical exchange with a Republican operative ...and the list goes on and on which has been going on for more than a year now.
Somehow "angry white men" speaking at Republican functions are very very dangerous but anyone else is just expressing an honest voice of dissent.
The hypocrisy is stunning..as is their obvious bias.
As Cheney said: "We're glad your on our side".
