Your 3339 -- Outstanding! You said exactly what I was thinking! Kudo's to you!
Luis, when I was watching Zell, I had to get up and hit the stationary bike because the adrenaline was eating me up. It was fantastic.
I respect your views, totally. I hope you have taken nothing more than disagreement amongst FRiends as to how Zell's speech will be seen by the demographics he was looking toward reaching.
Many here were wrong about the effectiveness of the twins speaking last night, too... but my sources (young) say they were devastatingly effective in support of the president. My surprise on that one, too.
.
Just finished seeing Zell's speech for the second time. That's got to be the best political speech I've heard since Reagan. Sheer mastery of oratory - we'er not worthy, we'er not worthy.
I lived in Manhattan 8 years....I know how you feel living behind the lines. It's hard...you're surrounded by the enemy.
I hereby swear to ya that the Red states are firmly held even more than in 00.
The Old Media cannot fix this for the left.....not anymore.
Truly the bedrock of the Scoop Jackson (D)'s
unfortunately, that wing of the (D)'s has eroded to the bedrock.
She needs a karmic hug. :^)
There's the first problem I have with your "position". Most conservatives don't "base their views on the media".
If the Dims beat up on Zell enough, all those who didn't see this speech will want to know what it was all about!
I just saw it on C-Span re-run and was floored!
Rich Lowry just said the same thing, that he came across as angry... He's not the only one, and he's VERY conservative.
Fuhgeddaboudit!
I forgot...you are correct about the GOP's lack of political spine on occasion.
I like to think W and Cheney won't do that to Zell.
But I bet McCain will....in fact I think he already has.
As my post said, if you bothered to read it, I was thankful that MSNBC's ratings are pathetic. BUT, everyone saw the speech which was angry.
My wife, watching the crissy interview, put her finger to her head and started twirling it, saying he's coming across as a senile old coot. I'm not the only one.
People are calling it an "angry" speech...no one understands passion any more.
I was jumping like an idiot.
Hey T!
That wasn't anger.
That was an old Appalachian country boy tellin' 'em what fer!
I'm pretty sure that Zell removed any likelihood that anyone would ever call him nuanced.
Did anybody hear tonight NEWT tell BRIT that Kerrey went to Paris to negotiate THREE TIMES?
NRO blog just reported it, YIPPEE
He is supposed to be on with Greta -- my TVs are off -- not going to get mad at the talking heads after such a great evening!
Ron Reagan going off again about the "mean" Republicans. Such a juvenile word.
But the thing that makes me mad is how nobody points out the totally uncivil behavior of so many Dems: Kennedy, Leahy, McDermott, and so on......endlessly.
