Battlegrounds States Poll - August 23, 2004
WALL STREET JOURNEL ^ | August 23, 2004 | Wall Street Journel Online

Posted on 08/24/2004 5:39:39 PM PDT by COURAGE

The contest for the White House remains tight, according to the latest Zogby Interactive poll of likely voters in 16 battleground states. Although the map is awash in blue, with President Bush leading in only two of the battleground states, down from the three states he held three weeks ago, the results in three-quarters of the states in the survey are within the margin of error -- meaning those states remain very hotly contested. Mr. Kerry holds the top spot in 14 of the 16 polled states, up from 13 in the previous poll.

The Kerry campaign is in a panic. I am sure they have accurate internal polling which is showing a free fall in Kerry numbers.

Rasmussen has even less credibility than Zogby. SUSA ditto. Hey, Strategic Vision has put Bush within a few points of Kerry in California--how 'bout that?

It's ridiculous that Bush could carry West Virginia and lose Tennessee. Give me a break.

Why are we wasting our time on Zogby? He is a walking piece of dog clinton.

Meanwhile all of these polls are bs until after the Republican Convention and into late September.

Courage there is no way Tenn is for Kerry. Has anyone seen Kerry in Tennesee? If the serious polls were indicating Tenn was in play both candidates would be all over Tenn. Use some sense instead of cherry picking polls that are bad for Bush. Its very close I'll give you that but your over emphasis of only bad polling data for Bush makes me wonder why you are doing this and why you haven't been zotted for good.

Zogby gave Tenn. to sKerry. They're bad polls.

Are FOX News polls bad too? They also give Kerry a big lead in the Battleground States.

I've always believed that a two-faced flip-flopping liberal like Kerry could NEVER win the White House.
But anyone who looks at the polls honestly has to admit there is a very good chance he will beat Bush.

Those of you who are bashing Courage need to wake up and smell the coffee. Things are not looking good for Bush right now.
And I'm a person who prays nearly everyday that Bush will be reelected.

Actually TN supposedly has shifted 20 points in 2 months. I find that very hard to believe since the national numbers have hardly moved. What exactly was supposed to have happened in TN to cause so many people to change their minds? I think Zogby is off on this one.

Of course if TN could shift 20 points in 2 months then there is hope that FL, OH, and many other states could shift just as hard to GWB in the next 2 months. :)

>>Karl Rove has never lost an election.<<

Get real. The election of 2000 was nothing to brag about. Bush was up 20 and ended up losing the popular count. Yes, we know they didn't count military votes, but they did count illegal aliens. We know that the media suppressed Republican voting in Florida. We know Bush probably should have won the popular count, but the fact remains that even with Nader pulling more votes from Gore, Bush needed the electoral college to win. If that counts as an electioneering successm than the plain crashing into the terminal in "Airplane" constitutes a clean landing.
