I'm not 100% sure about Face the Nation. Thne Kerry daughters were on last week. If this is accurate, Bob "Purple-Faced Rage" Scheiifer has had them on twice in as many weeks! C-BIAS-S!

"Meet the Press" may have a different time slot in some places, due to Olympic coverage. Interested viewers should check their local listings.

(Doesn't that sound professional?)

Van O'Dell, and John O'Neill.

Is that a breeze I feel?

It seems we may be about to move this ship out of the doldrums of Sargasso Sea.

Thanks for the post Alas!

It is interesting that Kerry sends his surrogates out to fight the Swift Boat vets. Kerry hasn't subjected himself to being questioned.

It is interesting that the new guy, Rood, is hiding behind his managing editor. Rood supposedly didn't want to come forward but had to in order to set the truth straight. Last evening on Obermann (MSNBC), Rood's managing editor, not Rood, was mouth-piecing for Rood.

If Kerry wants to clear up the whole issue, Kerry needs to be the one answering the questions, not his surrogates.

Kerry and Campaign have released nearly a dozen versions of the Christmas in Cambodia story. Kerry has told and retold the C in C story some 50 times in the last 30 years. Now, Kerry's mouthpieces are parsing and defending (but none of them were on the boat with Kerry).

By Kerry's whine and Kerry's surrogates' whines, they have brought the story to the front pages [snicker]. That could be a strategic mistake. When will the Muskie meltdown moment occur?

F&F: William Rood, the new Kerryite defender, says there was enemy fire coming from both banks of the river.

[Not sure exactly were Rood was in that incident. But, didn't Kerry's own handwritten diaries contradict his later 'enemy fire' commentaries? I think all these guys are relying on 35 year old memories, which are not always reliable. None of their stories are 100% accurate, so somewhere in the middle of both sides is the truth. The actual truth probably will never be known because the only records are sketchy documentation, Kerry's memoirs/diaries, and Kerry's video---posed later.]

GAG: Sasha Burns, Kerry defender/mouthpiece, is on FoxNews. (She brings her own kneepads.) Malzberg is also on, taking her to task. He won't let her interrupt him. (Wow, go man, go!). Malzberg got his message across. Burns wants to talk about the issues---Malzberg, responds that all Kerry wants to talk about is his VietNam experience.

[Malzberg is the first one I've seen who actually is effective in shutting Burns down.]

Subject: Rood's story

Rood supports the Swiftees contention that Kerry did not attack a numerically superior enemy force while under intense fire.

Are you going to persist in reporting on the irrelevant details surrounding the single VC dispatched by Kerry? Or will you discuss the actual point of contention?

Well? Ar you "smoke and mirrors" people, or "truth" people?

Name and Town

We should keep track of how many "elected" democratic officials are willing to "carry water" for Kerry (oh that rhymes, LOL).

Anyway, Donna Brazille,John Podesta etc. won't count.

Only elected democrats on this morning's TV show that speak out for Kerry.

I don't see many dems on the shows except for Late Edition, so it should be easy to keep track.

John O'Neill should have a field day with Rood--er...Rood's mouthpiece.

O'Neill can just challenge Rood to a one on one debate. O'Neill can refute Rood's account where he sees inconsistencies and once that's done, O'Neill can just challenge Rood's mouthpiece as to why Rood isn't courageous or confident enough to publicly debate the accounts.

O'Neill can just tell the mouthpiece, "you weren't there so how do you know what happened". That should be the end of it, but Rood (as anticipated) became the media darling for the weekend news cycle.

MSNBC is asking for comments about their question of the day seen at www.question.msnbc concerning the candidates' military records. Go vote and leave your opinion. Here's what I wrote:

First, Mr. Kerry is the one constantly referring to his military record and never referring to his Senate record as what will qualify him to lead our country. Second, the Swift Boat Vets, who are NOT connected to the Bush/Cheney campaign, have every right to the freedom of speech that John Kerry had when he returned from his 4 month stint in Vietnam. I think it's about time we heard from the vets that Mr. Kerry slandered 35 years ago. I believe, from the research I've done that they are sincere, honorable men who cannot be paid off. Third, Mr. Kerry's and Mr. Edward's "demand" that the President remove the Swift Boat Vets' ad from TV is simply ridiculous. Mr. Bush has at least on one occasion affirmed publicly the honor of Kerry for having served in Vietnam and has distanced himself from the Swift Boat vets although he recognizes their right to free speech. One surefire way to determine who's lying???--- it's usually the one who attacks the motives of the opponent rather than debating the issues the opponent raises. This is what I see John Kerry do time after time.
