I'm not 100% sure about Face the Nation. Thne Kerry daughters were on last week. If this is accurate, Bob "Purple-Faced Rage" Scheiifer has had them on twice in as many weeks! C-BIAS-S!
To: Alas Babylon!
Well I know which show I will be watching and what JFKerry will not be.. He will be watching his "reenactment" movies to keep his record straight....

"Meet the Press" may have a different time slot in some places, due to Olympic coverage. Interested viewers should check their local listings.
(Doesn't that sound professional?)

Van O'Dell, and John O'Neill.
Is that a breeze I feel?
It seems we may be about to move this ship out of the doldrums of Sargasso Sea.
Thanks for the post Alas!

It is interesting that Kerry sends his surrogates out to fight the Swift Boat vets. Kerry hasn't subjected himself to being questioned.
It is interesting that the new guy, Rood, is hiding behind his managing editor. Rood supposedly didn't want to come forward but had to in order to set the truth straight. Last evening on Obermann (MSNBC), Rood's managing editor, not Rood, was mouth-piecing for Rood.
If Kerry wants to clear up the whole issue, Kerry needs to be the one answering the questions, not his surrogates.
Kerry and Campaign have released nearly a dozen versions of the Christmas in Cambodia story. Kerry has told and retold the C in C story some 50 times in the last 30 years. Now, Kerry's mouthpieces are parsing and defending (but none of them were on the boat with Kerry).
By Kerry's whine and Kerry's surrogates' whines, they have brought the story to the front pages [snicker]. That could be a strategic mistake. When will the Muskie meltdown moment occur?

When will the Muskie meltdown moment occur?I think it will be soon after the Convention. It'll be fun to watch, in a train-wreck kind of way.

If the spin comes up that the democrats don't have connections to MoveOn.org, don't forget to send them this little tidbit:
DNC Chief Operating Officer Josh Wachs (left), Senator Leahy, and Zack Exley from Moveon.org pose with the more than 310,000 signatures.
http://www.democrats.org/blog/display/00010183.html
And this:
"Nov 13, 2003
The DNC is also conducting a major petition drive in partnership with MoveOn.org. More than 310,000 Americans have signed the petition to protect our courts with more than 172,000 of those signatures coming in the past 36 hours. The petition calls on Bush and the Republicans to stop nominating judges that are out of step with mainstream Americans and praising the Democrats for standing up for their rights."

Where is Edwards?
Where is ANY senator to comment on either Kerry or the Swiftboat ads?

Regarding Rood, isn't it interesting that this guy is the only former "eyewitness" Kerry could coerce to come forward at this critical time. But only in writing, not personally! And what's his expertise? The Sampan incident! Not the most critical of charges brought up by the Swifties.
Rassman would have been the logical guest to counter the SBVT today. Or John McCain. Or Bob Kerrey, the new defender of the war hero. Looks as though team Kerry didn't coerce "strongly" enough.
To: G.Mason; All
Why did it take 3 weeks to get the MSM to let the Swiftboat Vets into the newspapers and on the tube? That's how long it took to develop a coordinated counter-offensive between the Kerry campaign, the MSM and the 527's to be developed and focus-grouped. The first time the NYT recognized the Swifties existense was to attack them as Republican mud-slingers.
If you believe it took only 4 days to create and get the moveon.org anti-Swiftie ad on tv, I've got a gold mine in NJ I'd like to sell you.
The Vets will not be presented as "sympathetic" figures, they will be attacked personally, not on the merits of their service or the accuracy of their information. This is the second time around these guys to be hung out to dry.
I find it extremely interesting, John Kerry is referred to as a "war hero" for 4 months of service in Vietnam, yet the 260 +/- vets who served longer are being portrayed as crackpots, right-wing lunatics, Republican shills, etc., etc,.

The MSM barely reported on this story UNTIL a few people stepped forward to defend Kerry.
Kerry has had every opportunity to defend himself against the charges made by the Swift Boat vets but hasn't. Because he can't. So instead he will attack the messengers. Then the timing.

DNC and MoveOn.org are linked?
I am shocked.
lol.
On Fox and Friends, they are reading emails and taking phone calls. The commentaries are running at least 2 to 1 that the SwiftBoat ads are free speech. Many are saying that Kerry didn't denounce the MoveOn ads or Moore movie.
Even Phillips had to read one email denouncing the Dem position (that left a bad taste in his mouth, I'm sure).
