I'm perplexed. The prominent comm equipment used in vietnam was 12-15 volts.
Isn't skin resistivity higher than that? Certainly you can apply enough voltage with hand crank devices, but if it's only putting out 12-15 volts...wouldn't nothing happen?
I'm not suggesting anyone try this, but 15 volts won't hurt unless you put water on it or something. Could someone clear this up for me?
My car has a twelve volt battery and your're gonna have a hell of a struggle on your hands if you try to wire me up to that. It's the amperage you're need to know to determine how much damage electricity will do.

42 volts DC and it is all over period. If you latch onto that you don't get loose. We had 75 VDC backup batteries at a plant I worked at. I was shown some rather gruesome pictures of someone who had gotten ahold of that and it was ugly. It turned them into burnt leather!
Now, clean your hands with a degreaser, sand your fingertips until the skin is fully abraded and try this again.
Voltage is force, resistance is the key to effect; very high voltages seem to travel over the surface without trying to burst through - see Tesla's high voltage experiments for some graphic examples.

Actually, I read the entire thread before I started posting. I have been around here for a while I (not as long as you) and I do not post a lot so sometimes I am not sure if I am understood.
I feel that I have a unique point of view on this subject and I take the subject of kerry lying about me and the guys I served with seriously.
