I just read this stuff and sigh. I mean, how much hatred do you have to have to put forth this kind of energy? For the most part, we left the Democrats alone to do their stupid little show.

I fully expect the media to split screen during the speeches. Wouldn't surprise me one bit.

It appears the Author will most likely participate in the protests in New York. The Leftist Lunatics will be out in force and will most likely be violent, but it will be a reflection on the Democrat party and hurt their cause in the end.
These frothing at the mouth liberals are behaving like cornered Dogs now that they're out of power. They will continue on the path to irrelevance, and we shouldn't do anything to slow them down.

It's called the Wellstone Funeral Syndrome. Obnoxious,compulsive-obsessive,opinionated,argumentative political neurotics stand before the country and their boorish behavior offends again. Putting the show in NYC was probably an act of genius!

Were there any articles like this one about the Democrat convention? Heck no. What kind of people are we sharing this country with these days anyway. How dare they pretend that we are the mean spirited intolerant ones!
To the "lady" who said they were victims of Sept 11th, I would just say we were all victims dearie. This country was attacked. Until the Clinton brand of Politics hit this nation full force we knew that. Despicable!

Note how this leading enemy propaganda outlet conflates the lefty thugs with New York itself: "NEW YORK ready to unleash fury on Republicans." This assumes that the opposition is general among New Yorkers, that "Republicans" and "New York" are exclusive categories, and that there is a warrant for some kind of rage; all in one compact sentence.
This is a bit crude for American audiences but it is dead on for Guardian's Euro-bourgeois readership. Nobody has ever accused the evil denizens of Al Guardian of shortcomings in rhetorical technique.

What if they had their war and no one came?
Is there any reason why the Republican Convention couldn't just pull up stakes and move to Houston? In this day of text messaging, cell phones, pagers, e-mail, and fax, why not just notify the delegates that NYC is off? Media coverage is going to be minimal anyway, so that's no great loss. Just write it off and take the Party somewhere else.
I'd love to see the scuzzballs try to hold their protests in a city where most of the residents take a very dim view of anarchists.

Jamie Moran certainly hopes so. He is one of the main driving forces behind the protest movement which has sprung up since the Republicans announced they would gather in New York. He and others have been collecting information on all aspects of the convention. They run a 'snitch line' where people involved in the convention can leak details of events and where delegates have been staying. The protesters are widely believed to have infiltrated several people into working at the convention who will smuggle information out. Moran's plan is to send out teams of activists to disrupt as many events as possible.
And I wonder if the terrorists have infiltrated your group, Jamie.

For everyone who might risk an encounter with those protestors -- you may want to keep a cream pie handy. Some of them might be hungry.
