Bennet did say that it was a political issue because John Kerry chose to make it one, by making it the center piece of his presidential campaign. I told him that we aren't gonna back off regardless of what the Bush campaign, or anyone else may say.
I had a couple guys call me right after and they were ALL SMILES! They said 'Hey man, you lit the radio on FIRE! Any vet who heard that is ready to go stomp a hole in Kerry right now!

Every since I was a child I have seen the '60-'70's painted as the era of 'peace and love'. An era when utopia was achieved only to be derailed in the greedy decade of the '80's. Flowers, bright flowing clothes, kumbaya and new age hippies praised as being enlightened.
While our soldiers were painted as criminals or at best, 'misguided' for serving their country.
I'm not sure if this lunacy is how they actually perceived their actions or if they are desperate not to pay consequence for the harm they caused this country and her warriors. Maybe both.
The Truth is being forced on them now by Men that are able to defend themselves and the cowards are terrified.

I see your one of the Swiftvets, Thanks and no matter what I stand with you guys. You guys have earned the right to have your say.
The media suck and they will hammer you, and one thing is certain they are going to do everything they can to beat President Bush. But as I see it you guys have been smeared and slandered by Kerry for 35 years and I completely understand why you feel the way you do. I was in the Marines from 1965 thru 1969 and while I never went to Vietnam I had many friends who did and I saw all the protestors and how they disrespected all us servicemen.
I was thinking one way to get around the "not on the same boat" crap might be when you show the film of those boats running down the river side by side 10 meters apart you should ask one of those leftwing lawyers if they thought someone could take a crao on the boat next door without you knowing about it.
To me the weapon is the very film of the boats in Vietnam it shows how close they were to each other.
