The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

At the time of the Alaskan airplane crash, I got my news from the radio and for a very long time, there were mechanical problems on many of the planes.

It always hit me, as it was my job at the casino to meet the guests who came on the "package trips", so it had/has a meaning to me.

I thought that I had heard they were either bought or merged with another airline. At the time I heard that, I wondered if they would change the name of the company.

There is something about a MD-80 in my mind, that happened in the Dakota area maybe. It is possible that I am crediting all the MD-80 plane problems to Alaskan Air, in my mind.

I happened to go to the local bagel store this morning with my son, and in line in front of my saddly was the brother of the man who died at the New Canaan rest stop when his car went out of control off the highway.

He said he was picking up some items while the family gathered at the house waiting for more information and planning his funeral.

The man stated that his brother likely fell asleep at the wheel and "came too" too late to gain control.

Report: Los Alamos lab waste reportedly found in the Rio Grande

LOS ALAMOS, N.M. (AP) — In the latest dispute over possible contaminants from the Los Alamos National Laboratory, a Texas hydrologist says low concentrations of explosives and perchlorate suspected to be from the lab have reached the Rio Grande.

The report by George Rice, released last week, says the contaminants have reached the river through springs within the last 60 years.

Lab officials have said the Rio Grande should be safe from contaminants from the lab for anywhere from hundreds to thousands of years, depending on where the contaminants are located.

Rice, who wrote the report after being hired by the Concerned Citizens for Nuclear Safety, believes these pollutants came from the lab. “I relied exclusively on samples collected by the lab and the state,” he said.

The laboratory doesn’t dispute that contaminants have entered the groundwater beneath its 40-square-mile property. What has been unclear is whether the waste has entered the Rio Grande.

Sudanese student Ahmed Maglad, 30, testified he met defendant Mounir el Motassadeq while living in Hamburg in 1997 and through him met lead suicide pilot Mohamed Atta, who he said was "aggressively religious" and was always trying to "prove something." Maglad told the Hamburg state court he also knew Ramzi Binalshibh, the suspected contact between al-Qaida and the Hamburg cell that included three of the suicide pilots.

Al-Qaida trying to recruit Hondurans for attacks on U.S., allies’ embassies, official says

TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras (AP) — Honduras tightened security at foreign embassies and declared a national terror alert after receiving information that al-Qaida was trying to recruit Hondurans to attack embassies of the United States, Britain, Spain and El Salvador, a government official said Sunday.

The heightened security was implemented three days ago after Honduras’ intelligence services received reports of a plan allegedly targeting those countries’ embassies here and abroad, Security Minister Oscar Alvarez said.

“We are facing a state of preventative national alert, because our intelligence services report that al-Qaida foreigners have made offers for Hondurans to carry out sabotage both here and abroad,” Alvarez said at a news conference.

Some Hondurans reportedly were offered money to carry out attacks, while others were approached on ideological grounds. Honduras has a tiny Islamic community.

“We believe that there are Hondurans who could accept these offers, some for money, and others because they believe in Islam,” Alvarez said. “Our best agents are investigating the case and working out a strategy to prevent international terrorists from using Honduras as a base for training terrorists.”

Message in toilet grounds plane

AN Icelandic airliner flying from Italy to Ireland was forced to land in southern France overnight because of a bomb scare, airport officials said.

The Islandsflug Boeing 737-400 jet with 146 passengers on board was evacuated after landing at Lyon's Saint-Exupery airport while all the baggage was searched.

Nothing suspicious was found.

According to local officials, a crew member found a paper bearing the message "bomb September 11" in one of the aircraft toilets and alerted the pilot.

The aircraft was later cleared for takeoff and was expected to continue its journey to Dublin.

Have had mixed feelings off and on about the 'scribe' over the years. But have probably felt he had more insights than some.

Question One:

I'm an old boomer sailor, so let me take a stab at that question. Quick answer is yes, they would. There is an entire command and control system dedicated just to that particular scenario.


Question Two:

I'm of the opinion that terrorism and assymetrical warfare is the pre phase of a generalized conflict. Its a method of softening up an opponent by using economic, political, propaganda, terroristic, and guerilla warfare tactics to advance your goals before the opening stages of a more in depth conflict.

The question is who is the real opponent? I belive the answer is a conglomeration of nations who have decided to support terrorism, Islamic extremism, and Islamic fascism as a method of advancing themselves on the world stage while we are nibbled to death at the top. We know who they are, but they havent made any hostile actions that merit response.

If an American city or two were to be nuked and thousands upon thousands killed, I would hope they would realize we are in a fight for our lives and make the real enemies pay the consequences.

In my opinion, the real enemies are China, North Korea, Iran, and Russia. Everywhere there is a frothing at the mouth Islamic wacko, there is a weapon or some type of support supplied by these couontries.

Disclaimer: its just a theory, but I imagine the real powers that be know who the real bad guys are.

This is the second time you've picked a fight with me about something you have no clue about. You have absolutely no idea whatsoever about what you are talking about, and obviously you lack the reasoning ability to figure it out.

As I said before, we would have known already if anthrax was dispersed. If you would pay attention to density issues and incubation time, you would know this. With an airborne incubation of 1 to 6 days depending on infection density, there is no way that you'll convince my that everyone who may have been exposed was in tip-top shape, with no repiratory issues, no infections, no illnesses. We would have known already based on that fact alone, even at minimal density.

You'd rather fight and cause a distraction than learn.

Be defensive on your own time.
