Swift Boat Vets Dishonorable

I have just received an Email from a group that call themselves Swift Boat Vets Dishonorable. Apparently they have a list of a lot of people who have posted on Swiftboat Vets for Truth and are sending out threatening emails to these members. Other individuals on the Swiftboats site are also getting their email. Check out the Vet forum of Swiftboat Vets for Truth for more information. I have shot a few emails back and forth with these guys and as you might expect, they sound like a bunch of kids using their parents computer or the typical Kerry supporter. This is just another indication that the Swiftboat add is really making them desperate.

It is difficult for those under 45 in this country to understand the emotion and raw nerve that Vietnam strikes in this country. Kerry used Vietnam to attack his comrades and diminish their service and sacrifice. Did he think that we have forgotten what he did? Now he wears his service as a badge of honor, something he tried to deny to the rest of us. The SBVFT are now giving him the ultimate payback as he is tantalizing close to his ultimate prize, which he has dreamed about since he was 18. We are all indebted to the courage of those noble 200 who are taking on Kerry and the media. The truth will prevail.

This is especially true of the ones who served in EOD with me during those years and we were getting our daily dose of IED's from groups that Kerry stood for such as Vietnam Veterans Against the War, SDS, Weathermen, Black Panthers, SLA, etc. We didn't catch it just because of Vietnam, we caught it from every group that were supporting the communist world wide with the proxy wars that was going on between America and the Soviet Union and her allies. The battle was being fought in this country, not just overseas.

I went to the SwiftBoat Veterans for Truth website, and followed the links to Analysis of John Kerry's Fitness Reports page. The page provides an analysis which is very damning, including a technical discussion of "dings" and missing "RAPs"; however, when I followed the link to the copies of the actual fitness reports, I find that they are absolutely glowing. The analysis just doesn't match the documentation. In fact the analysis does match the documentation. The expert who wrote it is explaining how such reports appear to a review board. If you scroll down a bit in the .pdf file containing the reports, you will see the Fitreps with multiple dings that raise the red flags the analyst describes.

I remember it well. I was stationed at Naval District Washington 1970-72. The riots and demonstrations taxed everyone. Anyone in uniform became a target. Those were dark days for the US military. However, the wheel turns. I was proud of my service in Vietnam then and even more now.

page 11 - checkmarks in the exceptional, superior and excellent columns are dings?
page 24 - checkmarks in the Above the Majority column are dings?

Isn't a death threat a crime?
To: delacoert
I CAN'T testify to what it was like in the Navy in the late 60's, but in the Army in the 90's - yes, even words like "Above average" in an evaluation can be deadly. If it's in a check-box, and it's not the top rating, it's a ding. In an Army OER, anything but the very best rating in many of the categories IS CERTAINLY a message to a promotion board.
While there is some variation from rater to rater, to say that a combat officer would make a good public affairs officer is no praise at all.

Print copies for yourself and the Swift Boat Veterans.
Mail the very best copy to the FBI immediately. Call first to ask if they have a particular address they wish for it.

The only thing this guy threatened to do was release email addresses and phone numbers. He didn't make any physical threats. He did appear to have a list of people that he had obtained from Swiftboat Vets.Com but he could have copied that off the site from people who left their Email address. He kept asking me where I live and I told him to check the area code of the phone number he had for me. He did not have my phone number.
He claims all this information is going to be released when the book goes out. He wasn't very bright, as he did not know the difference between the FCC and FTC plus a few other things. Toward the end of the emails back and forth, he basically resorted to just name calling.
I forwarded a copy of his original email to every conservative site I could find and I think he got barraged from a lot of individuals and not just from Freepers.

It is funny that they say these men never served. Kerry was the one who had imposters testify to Congress.

Not all of his Fitreps are lousy; some are very good, as the Swift Vets analyst has noted. But it only takes one poor evaluation to derail a military career.

so shall we start releasing your emails and home phone #s and address's along with work phone #s when available. We want all Americans to know who is spreading these lies and funding them and to be able to contact you if they have questions.Sounds like liberals - Fascist , unemployed, brain dead, immature beatnik types. My guess is the average age is about 17.

"When contributing by check, please include your occupation and employer. Checks should be made payable to "Swift Boat Veterans for Truth"."Maybe if you're a business. Otherwise, a personal check shouldn't need that info.I wouldn't do it. Just send the check anyway.

Kerry's FITREPs from his time on the Gridley are indeed exemplary. He was a Division 1 deck officer, and performed as he should.
However, after his assignment to the PCF groups his FITREPSs showed a marked drop in performance. His last observed report was neither derog or glowing. Not Observed means just that. Not Rated.
