I am of the opinion that this Kerry brouhaha is going to culminate in a Kerry withdrawal, pretty much around the end of september. I guess I am part of the vrwc crowd, because I can't help but remember the fiasco in NJ. This is getting to be more and more of a sideshow, with the two lovebirds hugging and kissing all over the country (Kerry and Edwards, not the married ones), while dining well... (...let them have cake!) It is such a fantastic array of events, leading up to now, that I guess I am just really suspicious!!!
Thats well before my time (i was 8) but the fact that I have never heard any of those names seems to prove my second point.
Kerry's whole life has been a campaign to become president. He would rather die that give up this opportunity. He will self-destruct, but he will never be convinced he is not destined to become president.
we all need to call our TV stations and support the swift boat vets ad!
If Hillary is behind this and wanting to get on the ticket, she has to be careful. She cannot allow too much disarray in the Party before Kerry removes himself because there wouldn't be time to pull the Party back together.
Yet, she can't act too quickly, as a lengthy (still 3 months) campaign period opens HER up to too much scrutiny.
She needs to let Kerry float into late Sept, at least, or continue to sink his ship and have her sights on 2008.
Bring out the TORCH!!
It's provided for in the party rules. Perfectly legal.
Perhaps perfectly legal, but there are DEADLINES for ballots and names thereon.
I don't they Kerry will be replaced. These kind of dust-ups and skirmishes are not something new to presidential elections in this country.
imho, no way Kerry withdraws.
Calm down. He won't drop out.
He's too arrogant and too rich,
and he truly thinks he's going to win.
Never attribute to malice what can be adequately explained by mere incompetence.
After last week's convention turned into Gigli II (multimillion dollar production about a French guy that starred Ben Affleck and bombed with the viewing public), Kerry is down a little, but I still expect the polls to level off not far from where they've been all along. Like a lot of us keep saying, it's going to be a long and tough campaign.
Has that ever stopped
a 'Rat from doing their thing?
All their schtick is clear . . .
Yep. They're in eternal denial, and will NOT admit to these charges until they're proven, which they can delay for months, like Clinton/Lewinsky. They'll fight to the last breath, and lose.
Get real. It's Kerry vs Bush up until Nov 2nd 2004.
We need to pray that Kerry stays in. He will get crushed in November.
The media will take no small hit on this if we prevail either. It has been TOO long coming, but the fact that they have covered this up for so long will be obvious to a few more converts. They got too bold, and finally got enough rope to hang themselves. It won't be a coup, but another blow the the mainstream "media" cabal.
Relax. Kerry will pull 45 - 48% of the vote no matter what he says or does. All his hopes to win rest on Osama to pull an October or September surprise that he can lay at the feet of W.
Same-thing with Al Gore. He waited his whole life and was "groomed" for it. Look what happened to him.......
IMHO, Kerry stays the nominee. Her heinous will ride her white broom into 2008.
If the race remains tight, Kerry's in it until the end. If the Swift Boat thing or something else blows up and knocks him into the 20's or low 30's in the rats internal polling, Kerry will be hanging out with Quincy Carter.
