Had I been reading to children and had my top aide whisper in my ear that America is under attack, I would have told those kids very nicely and politely that the president of the United States has something that he needs to attend to, Kerry said.

Michael Moore was on Real Time w/ Bill Maher and said that a 'general' told him Bush had a deer in headlights look that he recognized. He continued to say the general told him if had anyone under his command who got that look, he would have relieved thim immediately.
Maher the a-hole he is kept screaming "but Bush was told america is under attack and just sat there, shouldn't he just have excused himself?"
The American people saw through the Faux pageantry on display during the Democrat convention, they lost support. It would seem Kerry has now decided to tack hard left. GOOD!
I welcome the Hard Left taking center stage. I want no rationale after this election to suggest they failed because they were not honest about whaat they believe. I want Hard Left values decidedly renounced.
Senator, The President is a man of Character. You have made clear you have none worth emulating.
I've decided I want the Republicans to make a video to air at the convention. I want them to take Worley's song, "Have you Forgotton", and intersperse images of the war on terror and G.W.'s confrontation of this evil. I want them to air the protests, the vicious comments made toward him for doing so. I want them to show H. Clinton waving that newspaper "Bush Knew". The Dems want hardball, fine. Air the TRUTH in reaction to their LIES. Then show the GOOD that has resulted from G.W.'s actions. Let's give the American people the TRUTH of what is at stake in this election.
In any event, instant panic on the part of the POTUS would be the last thing he should have done. Calm deliberation, knowing the people on the scene were handling things was the appropriate action.
Had Bush fled the room to "do something", the Dems would say he was in panic.
"Michael Moore was on Real Time w/ Bill Maher and said that a 'general' told him Bush had a deer in headlights "
Probably General Clark, The Manchurian Candidate.
During those seven minutes, the entire apparatus of the federal government was in motion. Does sKerry think the government was just standing still with it's collective thumb up its butt, waiting for the President to tell them what to do?
Kerry campaign talking points:
Vietnam and whatever Michael Moore thinks is important.
Oh good. A casino in the Whitehouse. One step up from Bubba?
"He was probably told to stay right there until we can figure out where we want to take you and our pilots are ready to take off. They didn't want him to move until they could give him the best protection possible."
That's exactly what I've thought for a long time, and couldn't figure out why it has never been mentioned. I guarantee you that the people who protect the President told him to sit there for a few minutes until they could get ready to take him where he needed to be. At that point, they didn't know WHAT they were dealing with, they couldn't know that armed gunmen weren't going to storm that school or bomb it, could they?
Here's another example of how deep into the sewer he is willing to go to exploit the catastrophy of 9/11.
One more example of President Bush's cool head has made the difference in these turbulent times.
It's very depressing.
It's pretty obvious he's willing to say anything to get elected; I'm not sure how you fight that.
They is nothing too low for Dems - They will try anything, just wanting something to stick......
Remember .... everything is a vast, right-wing conspiracy in their eyes.
"I would have told those kids to shove it, I've got important things to do, like finding a bunker."
John Kerry...Monday morning quarterbacking the crisis of 9-11 as it unfolded! I suspect the truth of the matter is that had Kerry been reading to a group of school kids when his aide had whispered into his ear that a plane had hit the first tower, he would have wet his pants and gone and hid under a blanket.
He was probably told to stay right there until we can figure out where we want to take you and our pilots are ready to take off. They didn't want him to move until they could give him the best protection possible.
%%%%%
I have always thought that what you said was part of Andy Card's words to the President.
The 'ratics really do not know how to respond to a national emergency. They only know how to go for the imature playground taunt.
This man has a shot at becoming President of the United States?
WTF???
