Kerry is a scumbag for bringing it up, but I think the Republicans need to let this issue slide and not call attention to it. Fahrenheit is full of traitorous lies and speculation, but the President reading the book is on film and is pretty darn awkward.

The dems demanded that the President not use 9/11 to his political advantage. It seems very stupid of Kerry to use it against the President. It only reminds people that they were happy that Bush was President. Even Rosie O'Donnell praised Bush. Women with children will be reminded that the President stepped up to the plate and protected their families. Dumb Kerry.

I suspect the truth of the matter is that had Kerry been reading to a group of school kids when his aide had whispered into his ear that a plane had hit the first tower, he would have wet his pants and gone and hid under a blanket.

I was envisioning something along the lines of Kerry jumping to his feet, arms flailing wildly about and yelling "Run! Hide! Help, MOMMMMYYYYYYYY!!"
