Now that Kerry is stick grabbing at straws, his snake in the grass nature shows more clearly.
It is all I can do to stay off my soapbox and avoid ranting.
I don't know exactly what transpired after Andy Card delivered the grim news, I only remember the picture on the President's face and know that the last thing that should have been done was something to upset and disturb a group of children from an emotional level.
There are plans in the event of an attack and in the given situation, dropping everything (children) would have been an additional tragedy.
He sat paralyzed, unable to think, for FORTY MINUTES... He can say "I would have done blah blah blah..." all he wants, but it doesn't sync up with what he actually did...
We need a leader as president, not a non-thinking paralyzed wannabe...
So he knew with the first plane that it was a hit?? He just forgot to mention it at the time. Did he go to the Pentagon to help?

I believe that, before 9/11, someone in security at Logan had grave concerns that he couldn't get anyone at MassPort to listen to. He appealed to Kerry (and possibly Kennedy) to see if he could intervene. No response.
I'm in MA, and as far as I know he's never done anything for anyone who can't do more for him. Even his constituent services (a big part of Kennedy's popularity -- Kennedy's are excellent, I hear) are non-existent. From Kerry, you don't even get a reply, never mind help.
There's a simple and truthful response to this '7 minute' issue. GWB prepared for emergencies IN ADVANCE by appointing competent, capable and experienced people, and they were on duty, following his orders.
Adults don't need constant supervision. They could consult with GWB when and if necessary - and did.
THOSE 7 MINUTES WERE FILLED WITH ACTIVITY BY PEOPLE WHO DIDN'T CUT AND RUN, AND WHO REMAINED CALM AND IN CONTROL IN THE FACE OF AN UNPRECEDENTED ATTACK.
If Kennedy's constituency service is so great, how come he didn't response to my letter on same sex marriage?
