To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger. "Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix." Pelicans first case of West Nile in Montana this year
Posted at 1:55 p.m. August 4
By the Associated Press
HELENA - Six pelicans have tested positive for West Nile virus, the first confirmed cases of the disease in the state this year, Montana health officials said Wednesday.
The birds, which were nesting at a waterfowl refuge in northeastern Montana, were found dead July 19.
....
All six birds were born this summer, said Kathryn Converse, a federal wildlife disease specialist. She said 2,000 pelicans at the refuge were diagnosed with West Nile last year.

That's probably it... jeez it sounded like a train coming through our buiding.
Situation in Chicago has been secured. The battalion chief was requesting that the repeater be turned off when he gave a status report on the situation. That disables anyone but the dispatcher from hearing his conversation. Not too unusual, but rare nonetheless. A HAZMAT level 1 in downtown Chicago was also just secured.
Been monitoring most of the day. LOTS of drills going on and radio equipment testing.
The ME run Chevron/Quizno's where the tanker blew up on Saturday gets very little business..both shops [connected/family] are almost always empty.
Mission specific tools.
You can't use just one screwdriver to turn any screw. For example, the rifle that I'd use for deer would not be the same as what I'd use for squirrel or rabbit.
The knife I'd use to dress a deer wouldn't be the one that I'd fillet crappie with.
You have reminded me of the two "Air Force 1" events from a month ago.
yes..reading it now...
My friend had the respiratory type symptoms the past few days and said she was experiencing stomach pain that she described as having eaten a plate full of glass a severe gnawing type pain but last night it became so severe she compared it to labor pains. She said a short time later she began to have the explosive reaction and ended up passed out on the bathroom floor and taken to the ER~ treated and she was told she could go home and return in the morning .as of this morning she was passing blood from her intestines and is being admitted to the hospital ..
a teenager in her neighborhood has developed it and passed out at the school yesterday and had the explosive reaction at the school while passed out .she said the ER staff are seeing a lot of it and many are out due to it she asked if I could start a thread to see if anyone else is hearing about this or experiencing it .blessings T
OK..Holy crap...I will do some asking around. I had a strange case of gastroenteritis 3 days ago but it lasted 3 hrs and was gone.
anyway..if this is something IMO it was transmitted by restaurant workers, pizza delivery folks..on purpose.Remember, the islamics have easy access to your food in the kitchen, and your pizza in their car..............
Prophet Muhammads Birthday today
Today is the 12th day in Islamic Calendar for the month of Rabi-ul-Awal. This day has a special meaning for Muslims. It is considered the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (May Peace be Upon Him (pbuh). It is also a day of reflection on the life and the Message of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
That does sound really awful. There is such a thing as intestinal anthrax exposure.
It would do no good to fire the missile at a building or train, even if the train is "hot." Too many other hot objects around to draw it off. Waaaay up there in the cold air, the plane engines will be the ONLY hot object around. Easy lock on. The warhead is not big enough to do much damage to a building.
Those of you who remember the first Rambo movie First Blood will remember the scene which has Rambo "trapped" in an old mine and the national guard is getting read to fire a L.A.W. anti-armor weapon into the opening. The resultant explosion was HUGE and in no way represented the true explosive power of this 66mm weapon. LAW's are only used against thin skinned APC's (Armored Personnel Carriers) and not real tanks. In other words, every weapon has a mission and specific use for which it is designed. Crossing missions and uses is usually not very productive.
Thank you both. I'd like to see it proven or shot down ASAP.
"Prophet Muhammads Birthday today"
Step aside, I'll give him a Texas-sized spanking.

Father-son killed in Rajouri
Excelsior Special Correspondent
RAJOURI, Aug 4: Militants last night gunned down a civilian and beheaded his son at Darman in Koteranka area of Budhal, just 500 meters away from a battalion headquarters of the security forces. The killings sparked off strong protests in Koteranka with people disrupting traffic on Budhal-Rajouri road for more than six hours.
Official sources said three militants came to the house of Anwar Hussain, 50, son of Ilam Din at Darman late last night and tried to slit his throat. Hussain, who had earlier also survived two attempts by the militants to kill him, escaped from clutches of the militants.
However, one of the militants fired a burst on him from an AK rifle killing him on spot. The militants then brought out Hussains 22 year old son Mohd Ashraf and took him to main road in Darman. The boy kept on crying loudly for five minutes seeking help but the security personnel, deployed at a battalion headquarters just 500 meters from the encounter site, didnt turn up.
Throat of the boy was slit by the militants, the sources said, adding the militants escaped after about 20 minutes from the village.

POSTED: 8:14 am EDT August 5, 2004 UPDATED: 1:01 pm EDT August 5, 2004 BALTIMORE -- The Port of Baltimore hosted a terrorism exercise Thursday morning involving the Coast Guard and all levels of government.
The Maryland Emergency Management Agency said the exercise will include a simulated attack on a large vessel in the Port of Baltimore at the Tyco Telecommunications Fleet Operations Center.
Organizers said the exercise is training for a major incident in the port.
Baltimore City police and fire crews, state officials, the FBI and the U.S. Coast Guard participated in the exercise to determine the preparedness of the nation's ports. The exercise involved an explosion on a ship where first responders found two other devices.
"Given the fact that there are secondary devices ... obviously, it creates a whole new sensitivity and level of training and awareness that first responders have to be aware of," Baltimore Mayor Martin O'Malley, who attended the exercise, said.
The exercise is part of a nationwide terrorism exercise directed by U.S. North Command. Similar exercises will take place in Virginia, California and Texas.
