Not to mention the family of the serviceman who's funeral he used... or the documentary maker he pilfered footage from.

I think the reason for the $1 damages claim is that you have to sue for sum amount of cash, and the amount shows they are only interested in the principle of the matter, not economic gain.

I would've sued his lard-ass for everything I could. But that's just me.

The paper is seeking $1 in damages. Wow. The lawyers must be tripping over themselves to take this case.

AP version of Moore's epic
"Pantagraph -- 1 dollar" is now appearing on Newsday's website, in the
Entertainment section.LOL. We were supposed to take Moore's award winning political statement,
"Fahrenheit 911"
seriously, but criticism of its truthfulness is discussed in the Entertainment section.
Another (hardcopy) Newsday headline, today, was...
Kerry sets sites [sic] on swing vote.
Do they mean websites, building sites, or camping sites?
They certainly didn't write "sights," as in gunsights. Perhaps, Newsday was pressured by the anti-gun folks or the anti-war folks.

If this paper would hire John Edwards, on contingency of course, they could hit this slim ball for about $50 mil.

"Socialist Realism" doesn't have to be real. "Revolutionary Truth" doesn't have to be true.

One dollar? Why not $20 Million?
Because they think the REALLY good ambulance chasers will be in federal public office by the time this comes to trial. And they don't disagree with the general tone of the "film" anyway.

They want the public apology and not an expensive suit that could cause them to shed jobs.
An apology would just about kill Moore since when he does do so, all will use it in his face as undeniable proof of his scummy film editing.

You folks know what this sounds like to me?
It sounds like the paper -who sure seems to not be upset about MOO's deceptions or movie- is attempting to get more people to notice and possibly go and see F911.
It sounds like MOO's buddies are trying to help him with this.

What is this "Newspaper Claims" garbage? Either Moore doctored the front page or he didn't. Can't reporters ever just report facts anymore. It should be easy enough for the reporter to check this one out.

People like this will do anything in the name of revolution. Arrest, convict, and then hang this traitor.
