Outsourcing happens for two three reasons.
#1 Unions here make employing here hell.
#2 To avoid taxes.
#3 Labor is near slave wages in other countries, so America can't compete with that.

You can't threaten or tax companies here over the issue for outsourcing because they will just leave the country for good then.

Have you ever thought of humbling yourself before GOD and asking Him for help? It works!

Oh, yeah. Sure can't count on men. Like I have said over and over, it ain't about me. I can speak of my situation to put a real face on what it does to people. What's happening to me and my coworkers is done. I think God can intervene in that situation; but, I have no illusions that it would be resolved otherwise - especially not by saying anything about it here. I mean, you can see the responses of some of our fellow "compassionate conservatives" lol. They're trying to cover their butts, blame others and protect their percentages for as long as they can get people to buy their story. They couldn't care less otherwise imo. Not all of us are like that and Many others here not only share my stance but are more vocal even than I am.

As far as what I earn, I don't look to be rich. I work at a job I love earning a wage that allows me to have a home and deal with my expenses the majority of the time. I ain't greedy. I just want to live and be left alone to live. Politicians and corporations just can't help but screw people everytime the tide changes. I've grown up watching the lives of people run through the ringer by government policy changes that end up affecting their jobs. We put up with stuff from politicians that we would never stand for from our neighbors, our kids or our siblings. I can go to God. But my job as a Christian is to love my neighbor as myself. If I see a wrong and don't act, I'm as responsible for it as if I'd committed the wrong myself. So, then, do I sit on my behind and let it happen, or do I work to fix it? I ain't using God as a scapegoat for inaction. We either do what's right or we don't. And letting others be treated in a fashion that I have been, knowing in my gut it's wrong, is unthinkable so long as I have a voice to give to it.. however small my effort may be, it is still effort instead of inaction.

France and the UN didn't want us going into Iraq for all sort of trumped up excuses. They screamed and hollared and carried on feeding everyone their story. What did we find when we got there - violations they were up to their necks in. If it's the French, they're untrustworthy surrender monkeys. When guys in our own party pull this crap, we stand by as though saying nothing makes it go away or perhaps saying it's ok cause they got our label. Abusing others and making excuses to hide from the truth because you're profiting from things that harm others is wrong no matter the pin on the lapel or the flag on the pole. Faith is great; but, unless you act on it, it's worthless. The wrights and others could believe all they wanted that flight was possible; but, unless they acted on it, it was never gonna happen. You can say you love your neighbor; but, if you stand by while your neighbor is wronged, you're a liar.

I went to the mat locally and got Bush Votes to get him elected. Defending him in this town has become near impossible. Nobody much likes Kerry; but, they're blaming Bush squarely for outsourcing. You have to understand this at the basic level. Abortion might affect someone else as far as the average joe is concerned; but, if he lost his job and the president's policy can be blamed.. There are people in this town still badmouthing Reagan because they lost their job on his watch. It's why I quote Hoffa. '..a slight percieved and that guy will hate you the rest of his life.' And their aint a slight more personal from a politician than losing your livlihood because of politics. Not in everyday terms.

The democrats know this which is why for 20 years, Carter didn't make appearances at conventions. They at least got the brains and common sense to understand people. That's how they manage to manipulate them so often and so well. You don't hand extremely good liars an issue they don't have to lie about. They'll destroy you with it.

I have downsized my life to the bare necessities. I sold my home and paid cash for a mobile home and by the time I get out of college, I will be 58. I'm taking extra courses to get out early. I doubt I will ever retire, though my kids say they will help me. I sure hope it never comes to that.

This is what they want us to believe we have to do for them from now on. Be perpetually in college constantly retraining - spending all our free income on being ready for the next rug to be pulled out from under us so we can further enrich others while having to essentially work two jobs - the paycheck and the hopeful garauntee of one through multiple diplomas. This isn't something we have to do. It's what we are being told we are expected to do so the globalists and the greedy can get their way. They outsourced the manufacturing jobs and then told us retrain for service jobs - people bought it and now the service jobs are going and now they're telling us they don't know what to tell us to train for; but, something will come up.. This is called the panic response of optimism hoping something comes up while knowing that will be outsourced to. They can't tell America the straight dope and get by with this stuff indefinietly. But as with the frog, they think they can keep turning the heat up on the cook pot knowing that we won't feel the rise in heat and will sit and be boiled to death. They've tweaked us a little at a time. Chinese labor is 50 cents a day payed by the government and in many cases is months behind forcing the workers in debt to the company till the government comes up with the dough. Meanwhile, we pay 100 bucks for the nike's imported from there. That is exploitation no matter what kind of bs happy face story one tries to paint on it. And you got several billion of them to outsource to before we get to think we can have job security of any kind ever again. This is a choice - not an inevitability. We built this country without China. Now they want to tell us that suddenly we can't do what we've done for several hundred years - why? because they've gotten us in debt so far that likely these countries are blackmailing us into submission at the diplomacy table. Who knows. Gotta stand up.

No, I just learned after several threads of you and a few others who involve themselves in personal attacks because they can't stick to the issue that it does no good to respond to you because you don't listen and can't be civil.

Yep. As Dick Morris observed, Kerry's bio ends at 24. We know nothing about his subsequent life and public service. He's well aware of his ultra-liberal voting record as U.S Senator that puts him well out of the mainstream. And I hazard a guess mentioning he was Michael Dukakis' Lt. Governor wouldn't play well with voters who rejected his boss 12 years ago.

I stick to issues;unlike you.

For thread after thread, month after month, you've posted your sad,sad stories, changing them as the mood suites.

I have been on outsourcing threads and have posted FACTS,which you called lies and PERSONALLY ATTACKED ME AND MY FAMILY!Unlike you,I do actually know about the many IT jobs out there, just waiting AMERICAN workers to take.

You jumped onto this thread, the topic of which is THE DEM CONMVENTION,and co-opted it to tell, yet once again, some version of your tale of woe.

Kerry, should he be elected, will take this nation down the tubes, get GOD only knows how many 1,000s killed, and won't do a damned thing about your pet hobby-horse,"OUTSOURCING".

I hazard to guess you are right *L*

Plus, of the many misleading lies in this movie .. he also didn't mention his failed run for congress either

Another thing .. he brought up only sections of his protest days .. he left himself wide open on that one also

The FMA can return.

The limitation effort can easily be undone by a court determining the limitation is unconstitutional.

I think it would be prudent to do both with the realization that anything short of an amendment will be under constant attack from homosexuals.

A related issue is the FL prohibition of homosexual adoption. A lesbian couple is attacking FL's prohibition on homosexual marraige because it will not let her sex partner adopt her children. They have lost a direct attack on the prohibition of homosexual adoption three times. But the are still pushing.

the activists will be constantily pushing to have the public be forced to publicly accept their private behavior.

As I stated, my family was poor farmers who never owned sqat. My family has been here since the indians traded beads for Manhattan island, so they knew hardships I could only imagine.

Here's food for thought, since you believe your situation is SSSOOOOO miserable. First of all, I don't care about others "cry-baby" woe stories, as my family lived them without the crying. I have at least one ancestor in EVERY war, going back to middle 1600's when first settlements were established on this continent.

I don't ever WANT TO BE RICH if it means being like the leftie hollywierdo pimp-wannabe freaks. I VALUE my family more than bucks. Hell, if gov't could just "go away" I am all for it, as I am prepared to defend myself. But we ("for the children" - Lying Liberals over-use that line!) do need some government otherwise we get anarchy. You comment about corporate greed but don't mention GLOBAL CROSSING or WHITEWATER where dems made instant profits, yet never accountable.

Your life is up to YOU and not the government. However, if you are disabled, there are protections for you that can help. That's FEDERAL that you paid for, I pay for and everyone with a job pays for. SEEK A CHURCH counsel as well as help.

I don't live or die by what our government does or doesn't do for me. I live my life as if government doesn't exist until election day (and then those who don't stand for same morals and beliefs I do get voted out). However, I will ALWAYS oppose those who would denegrate the United States in front of a FOREIGN audience, as they are TRAITORS to OUR country. They cause great damage to you as well as me, and would gladly sell your soul into slavery for a few extra votes.

Luckily, I was born without any ailments, but I know I will get to deal with them in my own time. I don't look forward to retirement as my mother died at 57 of colon cancer which is predominant in my family. As I stated before, she had a grapefruit-sized tumor in her stomach, which blocked her abilty to go to the bathroom like anyone else. Doctors gave up after they had already said cancer was in remission...but she knew better.

I can tell you things that are far beyond your or my petty problems and see if you don't get a WHOLE NEW PERSPECTIVE on life. That I think is what is necessary to survive.

I was able to get work teaching (Clinton years) for a few years and I saw the miserable shape our country is in. Parents that would rather send their kids to LOCKDOWN (in a juvinile center) rather than take responsibility for their kids. I went back to the working world, but never lost hope for those kids.

Your take on things are NEGATIVE...I was there, that is BEFORE I got on my knees and told GOD that "I can't do it! Please guide me to the right path in life".

I cannot say it's been an easy ride, nor can I say I have completly fulfilled my obligation to HIM. I have been on dire straits but if you take life in stride and have hope (not the Kerry/Edwards version of it!) things do turn out for the best.

I think perhaps the big-guy upstairs is waiting for you to show what you are made of and make Him proud. HE gave you the capability, and you CAN use it if you can remove the "negative cloud" that hangs over you.

I will say, that I am not exactly what God has in mind for a deciple of Christ. But I will say, I have used the talents that HE gave me to better myself, my life, and that of my off-spring. HE has always provided where government NEVER could.

I always liked to draw when I was a kid, so I made it a career. Now I can choose any job I want. I don't make money I used to, but I found the right place for me amongst like-minded conservatives. You never know where life may lead, unless you try and keep determination in your heart to succeed. LIVE TODAY AS IF IT WERE YOUR LAST!

I suspect this convention gave more ammo to Republicans than it took away from Republicans.

Once the aftermath has gelled, and it is gelling fast in this instant news environment, the DNC convention is going to be deemed a lost opportuntity.
