THIS IS TELLING-
The MSNBC focus group only had 4 people say they plan on voting for Kerry.
The Same few from the other day.

MSNBC is desperate. They keep showing this graph that was based on button pushing...IT SHOWS FALSE POSITIVES. People are going to push a button out of emotion and impulse. And they are not focusing on what the button does.

"Good analysis. I watched the whole thing too. The two things that surprised me and which I think were appealing were his "energy", and his very politically moderate tone
with a military empahsis. Yes it is very savvy, however I think GW needs to point out that what we heard tonight about "values" is not the true face of the Dems; elect them and we're in for a social erosion of massive proportions."

Agreed, GW need to go out immediately and refute what was said. He cannot...CANNOT...let the bounce take hold and grow. They've sat back long enough. It's time to start fighting back.

Re: JF'n K's Vietnam experience:

We might "humorously" point out how a film crew just happened to capture all that footage of our hero, which happened to be right before he ran for office.

Well, run for office. I agree with you. Orthodox Presbyterian and I are on very good terms, and like and respect one another, ever though we disagree more than we agree.

You watch, but if anybody dares to question Kerry's military career, they will claim he's being bashed!

The same for his sanate record.

LOL

With all due respect..I really do not take this Frank Luntz crap seriously.
It is just some filler for cable tv.

It is not reflective of reality!

Lund gets excited because of Kerry's line: "We won't go to war because we want to, but because we have to."

The undecided-voter panel scored the phrase highly on their toggle devices.

Lund asks why the panel liked it.

An older man on the panel said, "We liked the sentence, but it doesn't mean that we're going to vote for Kerry just because he said it."

Why does he have to nail down his liberal base? I thought the Democrats were unified, energetic, and hung-ho for their ticket? Its not all as hunky-dory as they would like you to believe. And I don't think the Republican Lite theme will win over the country.

It works like this, Kerry will motivate the Republican base to vote in record numbers. Bush will motivae the Democratic base to vote in record numbers.

The economy is good and the deaths in Iraq number less than a thousand.

For about half the swing voters it will be the economy stupid and that is a net plus for Bush.

As always when the economy is relatively good, the likeability of the candidates will decide nearly half the swing vorers. Bush wins the likeability contest 7 to 3 and the economy stupid voters 6 to 4.

That will be the election with 106 million voters going to the polls. It will be 54 to 46 for Bush.

The Bush admin should do something about the mass outsourcing.

Maybe he should talk to Teresa Heinz Kerry about the 57 varieties of catsup plants employing people in other countries.

The best "commercial" right now is watching President Bush's acceptance speech from 2000 on CSPAN2.

I kind of vaguely remember that with the balloons.

I remember the 1976 debate when there were all those rumors of Ford/Reagan. I remember Frank Reynolds and Max Robinson....back when ABC News meant something. I think even Sam "the sham" Donaldson roved the floor then.
