Maybe this version of a U2 song will pick you up ---
WITH OR WITHOUT YOU. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the MIDI to play from the site I linked.

what if we have a president who believes in science? think thats a jab at Christianity? It sounded more like a swipe at Bush's stem cell research policy.

He asked to be judged by his record, and many of us will oblige. His antiwar radicalism in the 1970s not just in my opinion, but in the opinion of former POWs I have interviewed lengthened the war, and increased the abuse they suffered at the hands of their North Vietnamese captors. There's a lot he has done to be undeserving of our votes. But what he will do as he described it is worse than what he did in the past.

Mara is a braindead liberal and not worth the air that comes out of her mouth. Why don't they just rename NPR, DPR, Democrat Propaganda Radio.

Barnes and Kondracke thought it was a good speech, but didn't really do what they thought it should have done...make a case for a wartime Presidency.
They thought Edwards speech was much stronger in that respect.

Didn't I hear him promise to change the oil in my car too? Gotta vote for a guy that promises everything!

Kerry Vows to Restore 'Trust, Credibility'
BOSTON (AP) - Soldier, father and man of values - John Kerry sought to define himself Thursday night to an American public still unfamiliar with the Democrat determined to replace President Bush. Kerry accepted his party's nomination in the embrace of an adoring hometown crowd, an affectionate introduction by his two daughters and a loyal lineup of fellow Vietnam veterans. He waded across the convention floor through more than 4,000 delegates who waved flags and signs. They roared their approval when he snapped a crisp salute.

If I were the Democrats, I would have the speech writer summarily executed after this one. According to Fox News, *KERRY* wrote it. In *longhand*.
(So much for the "new high-tech President" sloganeering, eh?)

No, you can't make outsourcing palatable, nor should we try. But what Kerry wants to do will drive companies ENTIRELY overseas instead of just piecemeal. They were making that poing on Gibson's show this afternoon but not strongly enough IMHO.
