"We're very worried that we won't have a client to defend."

From their lips to God's ear.

"His lawyers say that the former Iraqi President might die before his full trial."

"Damn ... they need to hurry his trial along to get him strung up properly."

When King Charles II was restored, they dug up Oliver Cromwell's body and hung it...

"Hmm, I did not even know that he could play golf!"

Yes, he used to play with Kim Jong Il. There never was a winner, though, as neither ever shot anything but holes-in-one.

NOW I will have to adjust my poem for Sadaam from other thread:

Sadaam is now in prison, his fate not known,
But the court is planning to kill him...
I hope they do it soon, and he will be gone.
For all his deeds Sadaam's life goes dim,
May the families he hurt be comforted along.

I see Sadaam with a noose around his neck,
his life ebbing away as the sun rises high.
Or maybe the firing line of rifles in check;
Ten or so descendents of Sadaam's victims nigh.
They are the squad to bring justice, let it fly!

Well now maybe God has found a different justice
to push Sadaam quickly into hell.
A stroke to the brain, but not a quick fix;
paralyzing fear coming from a deep well.
A hanging in balance, limbo, pain, ooey jell.

Memories like cancer torturing his mind,
no gray matter left, he writhes alone..
Deaths of sons, blames for him to find
knowing he is the one who made this zone,
unyeilding pain now torturing him on and on.

NOTE; I'll adjust it as time goes on....

Dear Mr. Lawyer:

You mean you passed up other clients and put your eggs all in one basket. You should write a book about it. Bwahahaha

"But we believe his health has deteriorated"

Bush's fault. We need better health care for the elderly.

"We're very worried that we won't have a client to defend." He added: "Under the Geneva Convention we're entitled to have access to our client. But all our requests have been ignored."

Or this is all a trick by his slimy "defense" team to be able to get in and see him on their schedule.

Not that I'm aware of - but it certainly would be interesting reading! I know we have a couple of freepers on board who can read Arabic, but I can't recall who they are. Maybe someone can and will ping them to this thread.

"Good grief. Ever wonder why people stay away from FR? Could it be because if they are new they get attacked? Yesterday Ooopaloompadoompadeedo signed on and was able to totally debunk a completely false and made-up NewMax story and he was accussed of being a troll."

Now ... now ... Take it easy on us Hillary. It has been a long and drawn out campaign.

Besides if it wasn't for c&p Ooopaloompadoompadeedo wouldn't be able to post. The name is tooooooooooooooo loooooooooong! ;)

All newbies get one break ... then ZOT them.

If the coalition still didn't have "boots on the ground." There's a liklihood, Saddam would be tortured to death in the town square, hanging from a tree.

Just imagine the billable hours to Ol' Saddass hisself - he's probably imagining fresh candidates for his Executive Shredder!

I don't think the courts sentencing, if found guilty, will include torture.
