I'm thinking that it could be both: canceled and/or completed. Once a link becomes "past tense," it may be crossed out. This notion implies a timeline from the bottom to the top of the list.
One might expect subsets of links to reflect separate operations or plots, and thus the list would appear with links seemingly crossed out at random. But such is not the case here.
I have not read anything where JustPiper was trying to restrict searchers or information. Perhaps it was a misunderstood post? I know I've had to re-read posts, more than once, to make sure I understood it as it was intended.
I would still rather wait to hear from the 'finders'.
I don't want to accuse until they explain.
Could be a good way to drum up some business if you were trying to sell scary information to people. No accusations, just a thought.

You shouldn't feel stupid. I guess it might be best to wait for an explanation on the code thing before coming to any concrete conclusions. It is odd though, very odd.

My notes say that #1133 is the OBL photo with the code.
Here is the link, I saw the code on the photo, but the photo at NEIN does not have a code.
SP2 says she found a few frames with Hexadecimal code in them.
Reading through this thread, the fighting about the info StillProud and Jill found astounds me. Since I was actually reading the thread at the time the original posts were made, this is an attempt to set the record straight. Hopefully the fights will simmer down.
Based on the original info from StillProud2BeFree, Jill St. Clair found a video that StillProud had not found and passed it on to her.
Jill thought it might be significant and asked StillProud to translate. She did, but went through it frame by frame. StillProud mentioned that the material she was working with had 55,000 frames (what her source material was, and the software used, I have no idea).
StillProud stayed up very late doing the translation, and found multiple frames with strange features that would not show if the tape was simply viewed. She posted a still of one of those frames on FR, notified the relevant authorities, and went to bed. StillProud is part of NEIN, so somewhere in there NEIN got the info as well.
NEIN put the still on their site, and included a teaser urging people to subscribe to their newsletter for more info. The still has been taken down. StillProud has not been heard from, but Jill says it was at the request of the feds.
Somewhere along the way the info from this thread made it to the TopSecret web site. They only had part of the story, and came to some wrong conclusions. They should have the rest of the story by now, but still cling to various versions of their original conclusion: The story was a hoax.
WHAT EVERYBODY IS MISSING IS THIS: If this story is a hoax, then both Jill and StillProud were in on it. In fact, they both had to be lying from the very start.
I don't believe that for a minute.
The alternative, of course, is that something significant was discovered. That NEIN was asked to take it off their site and did so. And that a lot of Freepers have gotten mad at each other for no good reason.
FWIW: I think some of the people who have been beating this thing up are starting to make progress. What about that web site in Turkey it may refer to?
