FBI urges vigilance for July 4

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A constant stream of intelligence indicating that al Qaeda wants to strike the United States this summer or fall has led federal officials to urge increased vigilance during the Independence Day weekend, but there is no specific threat of an attack timed to the holiday.

Did al qaeda really extend the original truce offer to say, Britain also? I just cannot fathom the jihadis doing that to Britain. Offering a truce to the other Euoropean nations with less forces in Iraq and elsewhere I can understand, but not England.

Imagine how they would drool over a near simultaneuous attack on Britain and the U.S.

I would really like to know if we really did avert a serious attack stateside around the 2003/2004 holidays (because that would tell me that another attack attempt in Europe is all but certain since we received a similar warning last summer/late fall).

But then again the warning to Muslims says that Muslims should head toward Muslims states in the West preferably; what Muslim nations are actually in the West? Please, don't anyone throw a globe at me, I cannot think of one Muslim nation in the West.

My read of it is that Abu Hafs Masri is speaking about the Ricin that was found in the US Senate Office Buildings in February of this year, not the anthrax attacks.

Again, impossible to determine the credibility of the claim. I'm just the translator here :)

The Iraqi Hell video was actually tied to a digital countdown (java scripted) of our destruction. The video portion had scenes from the movies Deep Impact and Independence Day. It was on the net for a few months and when the related clock tolled its final tick tock, nothing happened!

I read the article more closely and they sneakily threw in the word "Hindus" at the very end of that quote. So they are lumping Jews, Christians and Hindus in all together with the U.S. for hurting Muslims and occupying their lands.

Why do you blame us for everything?
