[Note: While it took a while to find confirmation, Fox News says Brando's lawyer has confirmed. LM]
(CBS 5 News)--The man called the greatest actor of all time has died.
CBS 5 News has learned Marlon Brando passed away Thursday in Los Angeles.
Brando may be best known for his roles in "The Godfather" and "On the Waterfront". He won oscars for his work in those 2 films.
The cause of death is still unknown.
The man was more than his acting. It was the more I objected to.
I almost think it would be funny if the guy got hit by a bus one day while doing that...
"I really don't think it is an indication of anti-Semitism so much as the result of a descent into madness.
If you have heard any of Bobby Fischer's interviews from the past few years you'll know what I mean."
The morning news just confirmed Marlons death today. His biographer out of Massechusettes(sp?) admitted that Marlons own choice to associate himself with the hollywood liberal left DROVE HIM into seclusion and paranoia. Proves those liberal crackpots cause nothing but chaos and mayhem where ever and whomever they come into contact with. They're literally a cancer on humanity, anything productive and positive.
BTW..re the Godfather..it's one of the very rare instances where Hollywood has made a movie that's far better than the book, and the book was very good..
I believe Brando used the word "kike". Let's not deny that (and I'm not Jewish).
FYI, my understanding is that Lawrence Olivier was the other strong contender for the Don Corleone role in Godfather I, and supposedly a screen test exists of Olivier as Vito and those who have seen it say he would've given Marlon a serious run for the money.
And I hate to be contrarian, but IMHO the second Godfather movie is the best of the three.
I agree with your sentiments; however, I also feel it is useful to learn from the lives and examples of others. Personally, I try to live my life in such a manner so that those who know me will have as little speculation as possible.
I think that's a incorrect report that no one bothered to inform you of.
>>The Catholics own the steel business<<
We do? Coooool. Who bought it for us? Does this have anything to do with Carnegghi-Mellahan Institute?
You're right on the money professor.
Wow, finally dead. And to think, yesterday he was hiding his Oscars.
Up there with The Quiet Man, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, Lonesome Dove and Dr. Zhivago (because it shows that Reagan was right), The Godfather is one of the best movies ever made.
The movie was a disgrace or his acting?
That's one of the greatest performances ever put on screen.
Hays didn't write the code... He just got it past the lawyers. O, sorry Pharmboy... 'nuther stereotype. (this one is less true.)
"Marlon died a nobody and has been a nobody for the last several years"
That can be said for the majority of marxists, communists, male chauvinis pigs, tyrannical dictators who pose as free wheeling liberals. They're screeching wheels that eventually get replaced. How appropriate and fitting.
Thee End
:D
?!?!?!?!?
Get real. Last Tango in Paris is undisputably one of the greatest films ever made. It made Bertolucci's career.
The man's personal and political life was a disaster, but his movies will live forever. He will always be the "godfather".
Just wanted to say something nice about him...
Carry on..
sw
Fox news reporting cause of death is being withheld.
It is funny how antisemitism usually accompanies a descent into madness.
