Brando was a great actor. Was it a coincidence he died the same day the humiliating article came out? It's odd.

The man's personal and political life was a disaster, but his movies will live forever. He will always be the "godfather".

Just wanted to say something nice about him...

Carry on..

I got involved in some heated discussions here the night Katherine Hepburn died, because to some folks it was good riddance to another Hollywood lefty, while to me it was the loss of a Hollywood legend.

I've always been able to ignore the politics and appreciate the art (I make an exception for Streisand, though, because not only is she a jerk, I've never thought she could sing and she can't act her way out of a soggy paper bag). Maybe things have gotten so polarized now and the stakes are so high, that's a naive attitude, who knows? I've always considered that a proper conservative approach, though, and a marked difference with liberals who tend to glorify the artist instead of respecting the artist's work.

Brando was a certified flake...but a magnificently talented actor.

A number of his portrayals were pure genius.
