[Note: While it took a while to find confirmation, Fox News says Brando's lawyer has confirmed. LM]
(CBS 5 News)--The man called the greatest actor of all time has died.
CBS 5 News has learned Marlon Brando passed away Thursday in Los Angeles.
Brando may be best known for his roles in "The Godfather" and "On the Waterfront". He won oscars for his work in those 2 films.
The cause of death is still unknown.
But hopefully not similar dietary habits.
And you know this how?
it was there for a very short time...they pulled it.
From Drudge - KNBC has just learned that LA city fire department was called 2 times last night to respond to Brando's residence at 12900 Mulholland Drive - 1st time at 9:48pm and the 2nd at 11:03. Both calls were cancelled, thus the fire dept. considers it as a 'no call'....
Why on earth would you run a story with no confirmation and speculate that it's the worst case scenario???
LOL! I didn't expect to start Friday with the "Marlon Brando deathwatch" thread.
>> The cause of death is still unknown.<<
Umm, obesity?
They would rather be first than right.
I wonder if Nancy McKeon is still dead.
"We're number one" syndrome? It's not because they care a hoot about Brando, we know that.
Apparently the family has confirmed it.
"I wonder if Nancy McKeon is still dead."
Did I miss this?
This was just getting fun. Oh well, RIP Brando.
Family is confirming, Brando died in the hospital last night.
Drudge is now reporting that the family has confirmed his death in the hospital last night.
Guess that makes CBS 5 News #1....for today.
Nancy McKeon died in a car accident last week.
What was tastless? That I posted a photo from the tasteless Wellstone funeral?
I was making what I thought was a not too subtle commentary on how the left will use the deaths of people for their own purposes. If the Democrats and John Kerry thought they could roll Brando's corpse out for their own benefit they would. Contrast that with the funeral of Ronald Reagan.
Oh, another thing. Isn't it interesting how so many people get all exercised and agitated over the deaths of "famous" people? Someone, who in this case, never really did anything for more than a few people. I'm sorry Brando is dead. But get real, he was a play actor.
Maybe TCM will run Streetcar, Godfather, and others as a tribute.
