If there were no restrictions on age, weight, fitness, etc., would you sign up to join the War on Terror??
This is a vanity poll, due to the news today that the Army may be dipping into the Individual Ready Reserve pool. Several Freepers have indicated they would go if called upon, but they don't think they will be called due to their age.
Please post ONLY ONCE, and ONLY IF YOU WOULD GO, so that we can easily see the tally by looking at the number of replies.

Count me willing and able. I would go as an E-1 to get to Iraq. I would go as an 11B (infantry) or as a 57D (laundry and shower specialist). I'll go. Hell yes, I'll go.

Absolutely -- I was in the guard during the first gulf war -- My unit wasn't called, but I asked my first sergeant what I could do. I worked range detail 18 hours a day for outbound processing of Kuwait bound soldiers. I'd do that again too, if it would help.

It's easy to say "yes" when you know you can't go (but I still meant my "yes").
My question is: Is there anything we can all do to help?
I know that some of the branches have auxiliary units with no age limitations - that's a start. Is there anything else?
To: BagCamAddict
Age 58 Yes I would Go without hesitation. I love this country and will do anything to defend her from the likes of AL KIDA (sp)
