Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-Cuba), speaking at a Democratic party fundraiser in San Francisco yesterday, was remarkably frank about the Democrats' intentions to use socialist redistribution policies if the party gains power after the November elections.
As reported by the Associated Press, Sen. Clinton said, "Many of you are well enough off that ... the tax cuts may have helped you. We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."
With her blunt statement, Sen. Clinton has drawn clear the difference between the two major parties: The Marxist Democratic party will "take things away from you on behalf of the common good" while the Republicans will defend your right to spend your money as you see fit because they know it's your money, not the government's.
Remember this during the long slog to the elections this year. The choice is clear: Marxism or freedom. Vote wisely.
I don't suppose anybody got a video of that speech? :(
That would make a great campaign commercial.
Adam Smith, in The Wealth of Nations wrote that the only true freedom is economic freedom. The comparative wealth of others does not make me poor. What makes me poor is not having a good or service that the market wants.
Sen. Clinton, understand me: I have seen the "good" you & your husband do for my country. I trust myself & my hard work a LOT more than I will ever trust the two of you. I'll keep my tax cut, WHICH WAS TOO SMALL BY THE WAY, thank you and I will be voting against Kerry.
This is a prime example of why Hillary Clinton will never, ever, become President of the United States.
Her political tone deafness is her undoing, folks.
I know, I know.....many of the talking heads rant and rave, saying in effect "Hillary's Coming, Hillary's coming!".
History will show they are as wrong on this as the left is about the war on terror.
Don't forget your guns. She said "things", and that list could be very long.
Note the common good is not to annihilate terrorists according to those who know best for us.....
NJ is unbelievable.
The math works out to a tax increase of $28,571.43 per person, over and above whatever they paid last year!!
I live in PA and compared notes on property taxes with a co-worker who lives in NJ and they are killing you guys on that too. His property tax was approx. 3 times mine.
Get a load of what Hillary said...
we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you.
Telling, huh? They don't see private property or finances. It's theirs to decide to give it to you or not.
This statement is the most chilling I've ever seen coming from a politician of any stripe.
Taxation is awful here. That's one of the reasons NJ is in play for President Bush. This move by McGreevey may tip the state to the President.
Boy is that in your face!
But what she didn't say, is that the democrats will continue to enable tax dodging legislation provided the rich still kick some upstairs. It will still be the middle class burdened in the end. The rich have armies of accountants and lawyers with tax avoidance as their sole function.
I'm going to start demanding royalties on my tagline.
Bookmarked.
Say what you will about her husband, he never would have uttered such a stupid sentence. She may be the world's smartest woman but when she talks it becomes apparent that she has no clue as to what the nation will accept.
Don't you remember little Kennedy's heating assistance NFP firm? He and his insiders live large on that. It's not their fault that administrative expenses account for 90% of their budget!
Gotta pay the babysitter ya know.....
