Update:
IRAQ HANDOVER 'TODAY'
The handover of power in Iraq is to be brought forward to today.
A formal announcement will be made later today, Tony Blair said.
The informal announcement was made by Iraq's foreign minister Hoshyar Zebari.
The handover of power to an interim Iraqi government was supposed to take place on June 30.
Mr Zebari said the deteriorating security situation in the country was one of the reasons why the date had been brought forward.
"We will challenge these elements in Iraq, the anti-democratic elements, by even bringing the handover of sovereignty before June 30 as a sign we are ready for it," he said.
He added: "We have made some very good progress in terms of the new security council (in Iraq) and the return of sovereignty to the Iraqi people to take away the level of occupation we have suffered a great deal from.
"There are many Iraqis who are standing up to the challenge. We are here to seek more help and assistance, training and equipment."
I know.
Good night BigWaveBetty :) Think I will catch a few ZZZzzz's too. Exciting night, first the earthquake in IL and now this! woo woo!
BUSH BIG GAMBLE PAYS OFF AS "NEW IRAQ" RISES FROM ASHES
KERRY CANCELS MAYORS CONFERENCE SPEECH FOR FEAR OF CROSSING PICKET LINE
FLIP FLOP FLIP-FLOPS AGAIN!
This news is a great victory in the War on Terror. Terrorism has suffered a great defeat today thanks to perseverance of President Bush, our troops, the coalition and the Iraqi patriots. Today is a great day for us the freedom-lovers.
Brokaw, Jennings & Rather is in Iraq already. They probably had a heads up.
****
Yes, but their big live shot was ruined by the ceremony being done while America slept. LOLOLOL!
Or
KERRY STILL CAN'T DECIDE WHETHER TO CROSS PICKET LINE OR NOT!
You said it.
Not only that, but I think Brokaw & Rather sent peons to it, cuz they figured it was only going to be a backgrounder.
Really? Honest? Don't tease me!!
OOPS, I was probably wrong. That google search ALSO
had info in it about the turkish hostages. It now seems
that it was one of THEM that said he was a muslim.
So I dont know if the marine was a muslim.
Ali is a dead giveaway, isn't it?
>>but I think Brokaw & Rather sent peons to it, cuz they figured it was only going to be a backgrounder.
Well THAT would REALLY be sweet!
I'm starting to wonder if I felt "thunder" earlier tonight. I know it was raining earlier, but don't ask me what time it started or stopped. lol
He cancelled it. Announced Saturday night. "Senator Kerry will NEVER cross a picket line", said the campaign.
Here's some more details on the kidnapped U.S. Marine. Not only is he a devout Muslim who joined the military after 9/11, but he may have deserted the military on June 21. Here's a story on it:

It's gonna be Gephardt.
The Islamist are quite evil.
The Whabbists are the most evil of the Muslim "religion" and most of them are in Saudi Arabia.
Saddam is a Whabbist.
All the different sects of Islam prey on the others. They have no moral compunction to NOT behead anyone that does not adhere to their beliefs.
Heck, look at their antiquated laws...Women are shot in the back of the head for being raped...Others have their tongues cut out and their hands cut off, and their fingers too...(a video of Saddam's regime doing that is available on the net).
They are Barbaric, period.
