Please take a moment and remember my family in your prayers. My dear mother, Lois Mary Shields, nee Guidry, died yesterday of a heart attack. She suffered from congestive heart failiure as a complication of diabtetes. She and my father were married 46 years and now my father is alone. He and my mother loved each other very much. As children we always knew that my parents loved each other. My father suffered a stroke 2 weeks ago which has left him confused and has greatly slurred his speech and has caused mobility problems. I spoke to him last night and he didn't seem to understand what all the commotion was about. I'm leaving for home very soon and would deeply appreciate your prayers and thoughts.

Sounds as if your mom and dad had a loving and LONG relationship! Good for them. I will pray that your Father's confusion and complications from the stroke lift rapidly, and that he is filled with memories loaded up with love.

How sad. You definetly have our prayers and deepest sympathy. Your poor Dad, how heartbreaking. The stroke has him confused enough, then to loose the one person he could really connect with. We will be praying our hearts out for him, you and your family. Surely the good Lord will be watching over all of you. We ask this in Jesus precious name.
