Yes and no. The more we can import the more we fuel supplies we can save on our lands for our future. Of course getting our people killed for foreign oil may not be worth it. But, and this is a big but, Mr. Johnson nor Nick Berg nor Daniel Pearl were killed because of oil but because they were American.

If we're going to lose in the end, and we sure seem unable to bring ourselves to win, then I want it over as quickly as possible. That's the only way to save lives in the long run. Someone once told me when you're in a hole and getting deeper every day the first thing you have to do is quit digging! We need to bring in a backhoe and do the hole right or get out of it and go home.

It takes patience and courage for this type of war we face which will go on for decades. Some like you appear to not have the patience for it which worries me. Some think we can just push a button and make these problems go away. We have to stay the course and trust Bush. Also consider that a lot of action takes place covertly and we may not even be aware of. Keep the faith.

Thanks for these links, Smogger. I was looking for that site but didn't know how to search for it. I think there should be a separate thread with the photos. The thread should be labeled "warning: very graphic" for those who are uncomfortable seeing the images. But, in my opinion, as many of us as possible need to see the unvarnished truth of what we're dealing with.

The liberal media powers-that-be know that these images will anger the majority of Americans into demanding action. Any actions that result in a more powerful and secure America are, to them, unacceptable. Especially if prosecuted under a Republican president.
