Has Anyone Considered This Horrible Possibility?
Self | June 15, 2004 | Sophie

Does anyone on this forum consider it a possibility and even a probability that someone in the new Iraqi government might facilitate the escape of Saddam Hussein just as some in the Saudi government are facilitating the escape of terrorist assassins?

As discussion about turning him over to the new Iraqi government is discussed more and more, my blood chills at the thought.

Bush Seeks Security Assurances for Saddam Handover
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush said on Tuesday the United States will hand over former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein to the interim Iraqi government once adequate security is in place to ensure he does not escape trial.

Bush would not commit to doing so by the June 30 transfer of power as asserted by interim Iraqi Prime Minister Iyad Allawi, but did not rule it out.

"We're working with the Iraqi government on a couple of issues, one is the appropriate time for the transfer of Saddam Hussein," Bush told reporters. He said the United States did not want lax security to result in Saddam's not standing trial for "the horrendous murders and torture that he inflicted upon the Iraqi people."

I am concerned about the "UN associates" as we KNOW they're corrupt and would do anything for a dollar! But, I also think Saddam will be executed by his own people after he's been sufficiently imprisoned.

That's good! I'm still laughing on that pic. Boy, he sure is ugly with a capital "U".

Yes, I have been posting this for weeks.

Saddam is an excellent candidate to have a Napoleon moment, when he throws open his cloak and says, "Sons of Iraq! Shoot me now, if you must, or follow me to throw out the infidel!"

You are certainly right to be nervous about the outcome of that particular hinge of fate.

We should have killed him when we had the chance.

...surgically placed a tag on him by now.

Funny you should mention that. The show formerly known as Art Bell had a woman on last night explaining these tags...

My local radio station re-runs the last 3 hours before tonight's program.

The "commercial" RFID tags outside the body are only good up to about 30 feet. Extremely less, in the RF absorbing human body. Or animal.

Naahhh...nothing like that. I bet they made him ingest chemicals so that he will he can be registered on a Geiger counter. I bet he will glow in the dark forever.

Put him under the "care" of the Kurds. They won't let him go.

Why keep this tyrant alive? Is the US going to make the same mistake as Israel? Israel is still keeping ole monkey-face araRATfink, and that pig should have been dead years ago. Doesn't anyone believe anymore that dead ISLAMIC tyrants are the best tyrants?

George Bush is not the leader of the "Iraqi people". He is the President of the United States.

If we have a grievance against Saddam Hussein al-Tikriti, turning him over to an imaginary government is an unbelievably irresponsible thing to do.

With any luck, we'd have surgically placed a tag on him by now.

Yeppers..
as a matter of fact, I'd make it happen.

Then, follow him and see what he leads us to :)

I think the MUCH more valuable captive would have to be Al Douri. I have never been convinced that Saddam had any real mental horsepower, but he was just the main thug that all the other thugs rallied to. I think that Al Douri was the brains behind the whole mess and would have more information at his disposal..(I'd say he knows where all the bodies are buried, but he probably knows, instead, where all the mass graves are.)

I think they are turning him over to his own people and hopefully THEY will take the panties off of his head and get some real information... ya know what I mean.

I think just telling Sadam that we're going to turn him over to the Iraqis may have an amazing effect.

Thanks for the vanity. No one has considered the possibility on a vanity thread since last time.

only good up to about 30 feet

Everyone is talking about RF tags.
A more likely implant is a pound of C-4 with a coded receiver detonator.

Heck, I wouldn't put it past 'em to pardon him, fail to find him guilty of mass murder, or any of a number of possiblilities.

The GPS micro-transmitter embedded in Saddam's Johnson will allow him to be located wherever his Johnson goes. ;^P

Don't worry. If he escapes, he will be like Cartman on that episode of South Park where a satellite dish comes out of his butt.
