LIVE THREAD--Reagan State Funeral Ceremony: Lying in State at the Rotunda (6/11/04)
thanks, those are great!
Have happy birthday tomorrow. I can't imagine being 80 and 'wanting' to jump from a plane!
That Doris suggested he was brainwashed really cut me to the core. She doesn't understand duty, honor, country. And she never will. But to denigrate your own child......how she must hate him for his choice.
That's her name .. she and Chris were absolutely disgusting ..
I'm new on the thread, so please forgive if you already have the answer. The Reagan children's role will be tonight in California. Each one will speak.
He hit it out of the park, agreed, but that speech right after 9/11, the day of mourning at this same cathedral was phenomenal.
Speaking of recording----I wonder if there'd be a way that say the Reagan Library could or would put together a CD of just the music with all proceeds going to them or whatever charity they would think fitting. Just thought that music was so beautiful and powerful that it'd be wonderful to have the option of just listening to it whenever as a reminder.
The "jumping" isn't the problem..it's the LAANDING...the danger is, for old folks..bones are brittle..even a slight mislanding..can result in a broken limb, or hip..and that's a long painful healing process..bones don't knit well at that age..you can often develope infections in the bone..thta's why the risk/reward % for a jump at that age doesn't compute..
she understands plagarism, however..
We live in the city should i use blanks ?
We live in the city should i use blanks ?
I heard he is jumping with the Army's Golden Knights -- boy do they have a big responsibility with this jump. He is landing at A&M right?
Oh, dear, is that true about Camilla and lung cancer? I know she smokes like a chimney, but sometimes...isn't life truly ironic. Sad. Prince Charles hasn't had an easy life, despite all the money, castles, etc..
Does anyone know if there will any coverage when they get to the library tonight? I know they said private burial but I didn't catch any mention of coverage. I need it straight sometimes.
Do you know why they dont let the blind skydive ?
It scares the hell out of the dogs
Can anyone on this thread help me?
Yesterday, I took a lib friend to lunch, and was gently, injecting some wonderful stories about Ronald Reagan from this week, things the media "overlooked".
She brought up his issues with the air controller thing, and I had no answer for that one, could'nt remember the reasons besides being illegal for govt to strike.
Usually if I can validatge a media lie, or prove something was necessary, but this one has me stumped, just know little about it. It's so cool to be able to give rational explanation and watch a libber say "oh", I didn't know that, get them to thinking and researching.
Would anyone have a simple explanation that would shut up a lib when they bring this issue up?
Darn it. I did close that last batch out without saving any of them. My daughter came home and I was distracted talking to her.
That means the entire series at Andrews is gone.
If I catch it on any replay, I will let you know. I will be watching at least once more so my daughters can see it.
Hopefully they'll show all of that too.
I'm sorry.
Anybody hear those dolts Bob & Ken on talk radio 640 am this week when talking about the howitzer salute? One of them asked where the rounds landed in Washington. At first I thought he was kidding but then realized this anti gun fool really wanted an answer.
Don't know. It was in the NY Post, but I haven't seen it in the British press...and they are TOTALLY into royal gossip.
Another poster said Charles & Camilla are both denying it...so, again, I don't really know.
There will be plenty of TV coverage tonight of the ceremony at the Reagan Library.
