If I am not mistaken, Doris' son enlisted in the military and serves in Iraq. She made a comment one day, that he is brainwashed into thinking that by liberating Iraq we are preventing terror attacks on the US.

She bragged that her other son was working for Howard Dean.

weren't they funny on Larry King last week? i swear they were acting like any two old people bickering in the grocery store. He couldn't remember things and she would say well, yes you DID go and visit RR in the hosp after he was shot, etc. They acted so normal!

I'm sorry but this guy was a worthless individual. The fact that I voted for him in 1975/76 will forever be a sad event in my life.

WE GOT IT.............WE KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RIGHT AND WRONG........WE DO NOT LAMENT THE PASSING OF COMMUNISM.......WE DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO MORAL EQUIVALENCE......WE DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO SITUATIONAL ETHICS........SOMETIMES WE FAIL, BUT WE PICK OURSELVES UP AND TRY AGAIN.

Yes, we got it. Here's a quote I remembered a few days ago. It doesn't mention Reagan but is central to the theme:

"When the history of the 20th century is finally written, one of its key features will be the wanton slaughter of more than 170 million people, not in war, but by their own government. The governments that led in this slaughter are the former USSR (65 million) and the Peoples Republic of China (35-40 million). The point to remember is that these governments were the idols of America's leftists." -- Walter E. Williams, January 24, 2001, "Constitutional Ignorance"

The point about the USSR obviously applies to President Reagan, and the point about American leftists can't be denied. Leftists who hate America first above all else, including those in the media, need to take a good look at themselves. Of course, that's nothing new, either.

When Reagan was president he would land at March AFB and fly the Marine1 helo up to his ranch. Reagan's call sign the Seceret Service gave him was "Rawhide" on the radio. Reagan was hard of hearing and he would turn off the encryption on the radios many times because it was hard to hear the audio in encrypted mode. It drove the SS guys nuts but many people with scanners were able to hear the president if lucky and in the right place.

I am proud to have served under him as my CINC. Ronald Reagan helped pull this country out of a huge hole in 1980. I was in the service then and Mr. Peanut had put us in a pretty good jam overseas. Our Iranian embasssy had been attacked twice and Desert One was a big ugly mark for SPECOPs. My landlord was German and he always asked how Carter got elected and why the military paid us so little. When our pay raise came up Carter told us to lump it, no pay raise. One guy I worked with qualified for welfare. When Reagon was elected we picked our heads up and walked with that American swagger again.

How do they do this? Their spittle is nothing but fantasy. I am just amazed at their fairy tales. They believe, so others must believe the same way. Shame, Helen, GO AWAY.

Yes, tomorrow is his birthday. That's easy for me to remember because we share the date. Although I was born several years later, believe me, I will not be hopping out of an airplane. I may hop off the sofa for a few minutes, but even that's not definite.

Recently I saw that segment replayed, probably on FOX News.

Ronald Reagan at a fancy dinner with the press, asked Nancy to come forward to the podium. He prompted her 3 times to say something nice to the press as they had written and covered so much about them (the Reagans). She each time just stood there, then stood there and sort of smiled, and at his last request she turned to Ronald and said I'm thinking, I'm thinking!

Your son has it right. He sounds as though he has his priorities straight. Bless him.

Many of the young children who were interviewed after visiting the rotunda said that they were most impressed with the soldiers.

He had Georgie Ann Geyer on, who I thought was a conservative,

Remember "Hearts Afire"? A sitcom by the Thomassons--bosom buddies of the clintons? The character "Georgie Ann" played by Markie Post was supposed to be based on Geyer, and she was not a conservative.

That's his job. If Nancy had needed him 24/7 he would be there. Military hours are not defined. Weekends can be just a typical workday out in the field. The military is not allowed to be tired -- unless, of course, it's a direct command.

Dang! What an evil person to say that about her son in the military -- feel sorry for him having a mother like that!

I have it. But I can only email it to you since I don't have a web hosting site. Freepmail me with an email address and it's yours!

Any other requests? I went capture crazy and there are about 300 of them. I'll clear that out later today, but I'll still be keeping the good ones.

I also remember that James Brady was always listed as the Press Secretary to the President until President Reagan left office.
