Good idea about AIM.
I used to look forward to reading Geyer's view on world events, but I saw a change in her perspective about the time of the last election - cannot remember if it was during the primaries or during the Florida post-election.
It seemed to me that she has always been anti-GW Bush.

Hillary has her Post-9/11 SOTU dour speech face on I actually thought the CSQ looked almost human today. I heard a caller to Rush's show say that she fell asleep at one point, but I didn't see that. This woman is normally so disgusting but criticizing for the sake of criticizing is something we should leave to the left. She did nothing to attract undue attention to herself, and seemed to know her place.

Just saw this--FOX will cover it starting at 7:30 PM eastern time. It's at that time they're going to fold the flag and present it to Nancy and she'll yet again have to say "goodbye."

From the other replies I gather that it was actually Bernard Shaw. I didn't see it, was going off of the original post, so someone else can verify exactly who it was.

It was Shaw, sorry for the confusion.

They played Mansions and I believe a brief segment of the Navy Hymn.

... we would do well to thank ktw with a $3.00-5.00 tip ... Yeah, I'm just back from PayPal. I hope he'll put some of mine in his pocket for his troubles, but if he won't, I'll certainly trusts him to do the right thing with any "overage."

I am trying to get a groundswell going to name one of the sound stages on the lot after Ronald Reagan. Already encountering political opposition, naturally. But I intend to keep at it.I suspect we'll see Ronald Reagan's image on currency or Mt. Rushmore before we see a sound stage named after him. Having said that, keep us informed with where to write, call, etc.

I rad Mulrooney's speech on this very thread. I wish I knew what # post.

Don't they realize, if they indeed are as calculating as in the past they have been, that sitting there with reverent, alert expressions would have earned them good marks by even their detractors? I don't think they care about what their detractors or conservatives think. I think it was calculated for the democratic base's consumption. The timing is bizarre for both of them to be sleeping at the same exact time.

Check out the SAG website for a special tribute to Ronald Reagan. "In honor of President Ronald Reagan's service to Screen Actors Guild, all SAG offices will be closed on Friday, June 11." Maybe it's a one-time event but it looks fairly genuine to me. Thank you for the link.

Yup, your coworker is lucky he's not speaking Russian. He can thank RR for that.

They devoted more front page space to the Ray Charles obituary article (3 columns) than the Reagan obituary article (1 column).
That was astonishing, I went to do a quick comparison, the (British)
Daily Telegraph obituary was around 3,500 words, the N.Y.T. c.700. I knew that the Times was bad, but it is utterly ridiculous when a foreign newspaper writes an obituary five times longer.
If you want to read what the Telegraph said, it is available at
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?view=DETAILS&grid=&targetRule=10&xml=/news/2004/06/07/db0701.xml
F.W.I.W. The B.B.C. has been giving decent coverage. The whole of the funeral was live on their main channel, as well as their 24 hour news channel.
