Posted on 06/10/2004 2:28:07 PM PDT by alisasny

Alot of dignataries are now showing up to pay respects. McCain, Guiliani, Gorby, Karzai, etc.

Cspan has live coverage. Bush expected at 7 but could be earlier? He is then going to visit with Mrs. Reagan.

Guard changes about every half hour at .28 and .58 of the hour. One is going on right now.

Was that Air Force One touching down at Andrews on FNC a live shot? GWB did say the first thing he'd do is go and pay is respects. that would put arrival between 6:30 and 7 Eastern, no?

That is the most wonderful pic,,two old ladies worth their weight in gold. Aren't they just wonderful and sad,,I hope I am as strong and good as they are when I am old. They are just wonderful in their dignity and grief.

Thanks for that info -- knew it was a lot. Now a group of guys in suits are going through -- could be the House members but don't recognize any of them -- since they are going through really rapidly -- probably RATs.

Air Force pilot just saluted. Couldn't get a close-up enough to identify the patch but it looks like the ones from the VIP unit at Andrews.

I'm still wondering if either of my State Sinators have made it to the Rotunda yet.

My daughter and son in law were here last nite,,we just watched this forever. They said it had a curiously relaxing effect on them, we didn't want to turn it off. Just amazing.

Near total silence, as the Honor Guards changes, except for a little baby cooing.

Beautiful. lol. Such an innocent little voice out of the silence.

Sen. Dole (Bob) not looking too good. He was looking pretty good at the WWII Memorial dedication.

I have been glued to C-SPAN since shortly before 5pm ET yesterday when the plane landed at Andrews AFB. It has been very moving to watch on TV.

The changing of the guard is very impressive to watch.

It is a fine tribute to a man whose life was so grand isn't it? Somehow it is so fitting.

I have this vision of Monica in the future going to visit Hillary at Blair House after she does lord knows what to Bills coffin.

The contrast will be unreal when it is Bill's time.

I think it will be all leftist movie starts and DC in line with little else.

Under Bill's tomb stone it should be engraved.

"So that is the meaning of what is is?"

Babies are so wonderful at weddings and funerals,,sort of a reminder that life goes on, I love the sound of a baby at a funeral.

As quickly as they are moving, I would say 10,000 an hour would be about right. Nothing more moving then the changing of the Guard. One of the highlights of a trip to D.C. is to see the changing of the Guard at Arlington. I cannot imagine the emotion to see this in person.

Several times in D.C. was able to see the caisson carrying someone for burial. Nothing could compare to what I have seen on TV these last few days.

Wasn't even a Kennedy supporter (couldn't vote anyways) but to visit his eternal flame sent chills and tears into the eyes but then Arlington does that anyways but this is something really special and heart wrenching.
