I presume others are watching.
Just as well Chirac won't attend. Who would want him there anyway?????
Any ideas of the flight path across today?
Here's Lenox on the matter:
Excerpt:
The Reagan Service Thirty years after the Trumans had ordered their china, state dinners became so large that none of the White House china could accommodate the number of guests. President Ronald Reagan and his wife, Nancy, turned to Lenox in 1981 to provide 4,370 pieces, enough placesettings of 19 pieces for 220 people nearly twice as many as other recent services.
~snip~
The Clinton Service The Clinton service is remarkable not only for its revolutionary design but also for its significance to the history of the American presidency
(no comment on the latter)
Yes seems like. Welcome :)
Maureen had a daughter Rita, who would be about 19 years old now.
That is the truth. Jimmy Carter has shown his true colors over the last few years.
My personal grief aside, this is a historic opportunity that I don't want my son to miss. He's nine, and we've spent some time over the past several days discussing President Reagan, and why Daddy loved him so.
She surely must be there. I have not been able to pick her out yet.
Apparently .. I'm sitting here amazed they think we are buying into this
I wasn't big into politics then like I am now .. but I remember very well the way the Reagan's were treated .. especially Nancy .. they ripped her apart every chance they could
The Wilson china was a favorite of the Nixon family and many first families thereafter -- Ivory wedgewood plate with cobalt blue and gold scallop.
What you've described re: how the Reagans were great socially, and this admin is hostile.
This is exactly what seems to be going on. It's this week's DNC tactic.
To praise RR (so the left looks gracious in doing so) but then use the opportunity to slam the Bush admin.
I've seen it every day since RR died. This is their "talking point" as long as it's useful, till the mediots/DNC realize we're on to them.

We can not go but I have asked my son to watch the services at 5 pm later today and he said he would. He is 11 and has already done reports on President Reagan. I am also tentative about keeping him home on Friday as I really want him to watch this history.
Please take the time to write us with all that you see and hear. Safe trip!
I guess they're talking to the college kids and other young people who've been indoctrinated with the leftist ideals and don't remember the Reagans.
we are looking for a pic of a flag mounted on a wall or such hanging on a pole like most houses have.
I would keep him home. This is an historic event, and he should see it in full, rather than in clips on newscasts.
Aarrgh - server was down here! Finally back up, and I've got Rush on live feed. Life is good!
There is a thread here on FR that had pics. It was called "Flag Etiquette" or something. I will continue to try to find the link.
