After all the money spent during the JFK administration it looks pretty silly, IMHO. I wonder what Hillies spent will she was there?
Just more media slander. Of course back then they had no one to challenge them - nobody cared then and they do not care now. Are the networks still whining about this now? Let them, it exposes them.

President Bush designated this plane to be Air Force One to bring back President Reagan to the Capital. Normally the sitting President has to be on board but for today the Call Sign will be Air Force One in honor of President Reagan!

I'm here - cubicle-bound, but I think I'll feel the emotion right here on this thread.
The motorcade is due to arrive at 9:00 (about 15 minutes), btw

I received an email from the Air Force about that 21-plane salute made up of F-15's out of Seymour Johnson.
Looks like Point Magoo residents have turned out in large numbers.

It's so moving. It's incredibly sad and incredibly uplifting at the very same time.

"Tate, Nancy's secretary, said last night that the White House china was donated, that it didn't cost the taxpayers a dime."
Well that is what I thought; but since she did not mention this as a point of fact when she was speaking with David re the controversy; I started to wonder if I was thinking of a different set of china.
This story is part of a 'false memory' created by the 'foe's of Reagan' so to speak; and it is amazing that it still holds the truth for so many. A small truth perhaps; but it does contribute to a mindset.
Anyway, thanks for the input; and for settling this; again.

Walter Rodgers is on CNN, saying glowing things about President Reagan. Ridgers was also within inches of Hinckley when Hinckley shot President Reagan. Previously, Rodgers has said some very pointed remarks about the release of Hinckley.

Disgusting! I wish nothing but bad for Chirac and his Administration -- what a mean-spirited person.

Evidently, Peter Jennings couldn't help but editorialize, stating that the Reagan family was "dysfunctional" until President Reagan became ill, then they reconciled.
What is wrong with his ilk?
That's just a cruel thing to say as pictures of the hearse are slowly moving across our TV screens.
