we are looking for a pic of a flag mounted on a wall or such hanging on a pole like most houses have.

I have a huge nylon flag, too big for a post-mounted pole. So I hung it between the two post of my front porch, lengthwise, then draped two wide black ribbons across it from the top corners. Putting a bunch of long black ribbon on top of a post-mounted pole would work too.
What matters is that your flag shows that you mourn the passing of a grand man.
