MSNBC is about to show Kerry.....Kerry gets his photo op.
Thank you for showing such gracious hospitality to those who came out to pay their respects to Ronald Reagan.
You all are the epitomie of a class act.
Oh Geez .. I just put on C-span1 and it's Leahey ripping in to Ashcroft
I am SO sorry! Dang that CSPAN. What a shock that must have been.
(LOL--sorry, but I had to laugh a little, but in sympathy)
It looks like Bruce Boxleitner - Melissa Gilbert's husband.
Since you've been a good freeper friend in the past .. I'll let it slide this time
And yes it was a shock *L*
I think Ronald would prefer to be involved in the "spirited" debate this fall...
I can do text on pix!
This must be COVERTLY political. (the word "optomism" will be the new campaign reinvention talking point for kerry.)
This will be part of a campaign for Kerry to try and associate himself with the Reagan legacy. This goes with the elitists notion that Reagan was all communication skills and those same skills can be used with equal efectivness to put democrats in power. Symbolism over substance.
Kerry must think he can become Reagan by 1. using the word "optomism" and 2. keeping out of sight so people can't see and hear the real kerry.
Sorry - it was toungue in cheek, though . . . .
Looks like a clenched fist if you ask me.
No, he hasn't. I can't believe that even Democrats can't see through this.
Based on another post. It would not be surprising if Kerry did it EXPLICITLY to bump nancy reagan pictures off the alphabet soup news networks.
Only a clinton could look at those images and feel nothing.
It would not surprise me .. during the Primaries he morphed into so many different people it wasn't funny
He wanted to make face time on the evening news and he did.
He knows he will be a nobody at the services in D.C. with all the dignitaries there - so he made sure he was a one man show.
That is an Effin thumb...need glasses?
"Indecent Exposure" John Kerry political cartoon.
June 9, 2004... Kerry photo-ops Reagan casketPresumptive Democrat presidential nominee John Kerry showed up at the Reagan Library on Tuesday afternoon to view the deceased former presidents casket, setting off a firestorm of reaction. · At issue: The need for a Kerry visit to the Reagan Library in California. As reported by Rush Limbaugh, a Kerry spokesperson had already announced Kerry would attend the State Funeral for Reagan on Friday in Washington, D.C. · At issue: The photographer accompanying Kerry into the Reagan Library. Clear guidelines (handed out to everyone prior to entering the library to view Reagans casket) state: Absolutely no photography will be allowed inside the Library. A photographer entered slightly ahead of Kerry and took pictures of Kerry while he was there. These pictures were posted as Associated Press photos on YahooNews news 30 minutes after Kerrys visit. [see photo below] · At issue: The timing of the Kerry visit to the Reagan Library in California. Dignitaries could view the casket at the Reagan Library in California before the general public or after the general public; or in Washington, D.C. during the time set aside for the other government big wigs to attend. California Governor and Mrs. Schwarzenegger were in attendance during regular public viewing hours at the personal request of Mrs. Reagan who did not take Kerrys personal phone call to her, and did not issue an invitation to Kerry. |
Yeah, I saw him too. You're right .... what a POS.
BUMP
Official retraction:
A website owner listed himself as a freelance photographer. He also indicated that photographer Jeff Chiu has been associated with his website [for gallery purposes] for about a year. [My mind jumped to assume at that Chiu was also a freelancer.] Further down on the website [which I failed to read yesterday], Jeff Chiu was said to be a 'staff photographer for AP.'
I apology for the confusion and and my misrepresentation of Jeff Chiu. Please accept my humble apology.
