Reagan family has arrived in Santa Monica to escort President Reagan's body to his library.
I was just thinking of writing them and telling them their coverage is great, we'd love to watch, but he does NOT speak for us.
"I wonder where the tears keep coming from."
It is for men such as these that the words "every man's death diminishes me" were written.
I understead them for the first time at the death of my father. I more than loved my Dad, I respected him, I cherished his friendship and his advice only given when asked. I always knew the impact he had on my life and my formation but with his loss I felt the emptiness of his loss.
The tears come from a place of love and respect. It is as if a light in the darkness has gone out. The emptiness is large because his impact was large.
I grieve the loss of this man to earth but celebrate his rebirth into eternal life. Regan was a true Christian. He spoke freely of his faith in God, and I am sure he was graciously welcomed after his sojourn on earth.
Do NOT go to CNN.
I was just there
~shudder~
May you rot in hell someday.
That's what I meant.. sorry.
Mrs. Reagan looks so lonely in that one shot, it made me start to cry again.
"God BLEES"??? Oh well, I think they meant well.
What are you refilling it with ?
witnesses = weaknesses
(don't ask, I'm more scattered today than I've been in quite awhile)
What?
I was watching this morning and was absolutely angry!
They CHOSE their venue. The topic was something like " What did you think of Ronald Reagan, good or bad " I just didn't know whether to cry or be angry. I thought it was classless and I intend to write Brian Lamb about it.
It is so sad to think how far we have fallen since this wonderful example of a man led our country. I fear it is the last of the long line of Presidents that will give this huge of an example the personification of what CHARACTER means.
We are above blessed to have had him. He painted a picture of Morning in America so vivid with his words that he carried us to streets of middle America, to wheat fields and front porches with the American Flag flying and a pitcher of cold lemonade...he showed us that light shining on the hill, and we came to believe that we would shine again. He gave hope and believed in US !!...and he lived before all of us with honor.
And he loved Nancy. And that was enough for him. Thank you God.
That is simply beautiful.
Wonderful pictures. We cubies are eternally grateful!
I think that if you're going to post "May you rot in hell someday," you should leave the post so that the rest of us know what happened.
Glad to help out.
We can at least all be together, eh?
I can't think of anybody I'd rather share this with than you all.
what is Buchanan saying that is making everyone so upset?
Beautifully put - now I'm crying again.
Witnesses?
They have the entire NBC organization to draw on.
FNC didn't have the Fox folks to draw from, since Fox didn't have a news division (or if it did, it was really really really really small).
FYI..Senate in session now on C-sapn 2...Frist eulogizing Reagan..sadly, Daschle will follow...
