Well now isn't the time for his loserman schtick--I'm fed up. He should show some respect. Smith is a real POS.

"pinks and greens"

I learned this, just this year, from scanning-in color slides taken by my father before and during World War II. He says that the trousers had a fine red thread in the fabric. He also remembered what the red thread count was; but of course, I have forgotten it.

To my eye, it seemed as though the blouse should be blue, but he said no, actually, it's a very, very dark royal green, that in certain light, will look as if it is blue.

The photographs, printed from the slides, look like they were taken yesterday.

Some of the color slides were taken by him and a film camerman who were leading the complete formation of aircraft from Kelly Field, TX, in 1941 --- the camerman was taking stills and filming the formation for the movie, "I Wanted Wings" (1941, William Holden, Veronica Lake, Ray Milland).

The aircraft, when lined up wingtip to wingtip along the Kelly Field Flight Line, measured one mile. (In the late 1980's, I went for a hop in an AT-6, and I am still grinning.)

My father still has the blouse that he wore in the Kodak color slides taken that month.

The full front picture of her laying her head on that casket is just devastating.

LOL....beat ya! Mr. C4E on Saturday just kept patting my shoulder and saying Ah Honey...and handing me kleenex. There was a moment or two when he needed some kleenex himself. :) I am overwhelmed by the public outpouring of respect for this man. The film of the overpasses with flags and signs as the funeral procession drove by...wow. Just ....wow. Ya gotta just love it...right up to the end Reagan knew how to trump the dems.

Hello Dear Freepers,
This is my very first post, although I have been following this thread for quite a long time. I thought this was probably the best time to come out of lurkdom, and let my first post be a tribute to President Reagan.
I am incredibly moved and emotional and I have sought solace here at this site. You cannot imagine how much I have come to know many of you here! Miss Marple, Peach, Howlin, Pukin Dog, to name a few!
Thanks to all of you for your insight, ideas, common sense, debate, etc.
Thank you, President Reagan! You, sir, are a treasure beyond measure!

Trust me, I wanted to have a really classy send off. I wanted nothing more than to relish this and honor Reagan--I really don't need Smith's mindless "he wasn't so great" pontifications. I wish it weren't so, but Smith is being Smith-- and that means he's playing the role of a petty, slow minded, envious little "invite me to the liberal dinner parties in Manhattan" douche bag.

LOL! I'm older than my bosses and they are doctors.

So you got a two-fer ;-) My bosses are just plain dorky, but nice enough guys. Been working with them almost 20 years.

Yes, Arnold and Maria were there a while ago, I believe - didn't get to see it, I've been back in cube-land.

And he can't read a telepromter--he is a petty, insecure, subversive lightweight.
