Hollywood sources tell LA Weekly columnist Nikki Finke that former President Ronald Reagan's medical condition has suddenly worsened. "He really took a downslide today," the insider told Finke Friday evening. "Doctors are at the house. Things aren't good." At the start of the day, several news organizations chased down a rumor that the ex-president had died, but it wasn't true... Family members gathered at the Reagan's Bel Air home late Friday... Thanks, but WE think we're better off fighting the AGENDA right where we are. Read my about page. But you'd be amazed at the folks who are plugging along trying to fight lies and propaganda with truth and love. I am almost universally vilified at my school. Yesterday somebody put a "moveon.org" poster on my classroom door while I was in the middle of my American Gov't final exam. As I ripped it to shreds you could hear the laughter ripple down the hallway. That only tells me they're really worried about November.

I sure don't know, but I'm sure GWB will do what you've mentioned. Would be the right thing to do, and I'll bet it will happen as you say.
To: Rokke
This is so eerie - I've been thinking of him alot lately. If he has to go, I hope it's on a Republican President's watch. I would have despised if he had passed under Clinton's administration.

I wish I had the verbal flair to appropiately express what I wish to say. Presently however, I do not.
Please know that this humble 'Thank you' encompasses everything that I can not say.
Thank you, Mr. President

I am reminded by a quote, from Patton, "It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived." Oh, that is so true.
RR lived a long life, and accomplished great good for the world. We should not mourn too long his passing, but through our tears remember what he gave to the world, and be grateful.

I was just thinking of him the other day, too, maybe it was Wednesday or Thursday.
Just out of the blue -- because there hasn't been any news of him till yesterday.

I'm furious to see they would do something like that but I'm saddened too. It seems like there is a segment of America Haters in our society that need a good butt whippin' and "witch slappin'" outside in the woodshed. All I can say is I find people like them to be spiritually, morally, and ethically dead. I know I sound really harsh and bitter but seeing the first shred of this during the Reagan era (although it had it's seeds during the 1960's), then the 2000 elections, then 9-11, then the War on Terrorism, then Iraq, and so on, I have come to that conclusion. I don't think even God can help these people, I don't doubt the power of the Almighty at all, the only way they can "come back to life" is if they wake up one morning and realize what they are doing and they way they are acting is wrong. If and until that point is reached, well that's how I see the America Haters. I've come to another conclusion, I just say, "screw 'em," fight 'em as best as you can, say "let's roll" and move forward. I'm just sick of their horsecrap, let's roll!

The character of this man is a lasting tribute to him. The love and dedication of his wife is an outstanding example for all to behold. Prayers go up for all.

So sad, yet what a noble life he lived and what a wonderful testimony he is/was to the greatness of America....a true American hero. May the Lord embrace him and bear him home.

Joanie.....just beautiful..(actually I'm kinda speechless).
At some point in the future...Historians will look back on the time of Ronald Reagan and marvel that such men even existed.(and some will doubt that they did).
He tapped into the simple truths that founded this Nation...truth...honour...responsibility...and (the biggie) Freedom. When he spoke you could feel those traits in his words...and you could see those traits in his life.
But.....we must understand that even tho we will miss him ...the main question has always been what will WE do???? We have been taught by a great teacher...who has filled our lives with honourable and couragous deeds and actions...and filled our hearts and minds with words that will live on forever. Words of truth and honour.
The next step will forever be ours also.
Do we just mourn the passing of a Great Man....or do we actually act on the beliefs he taught.
Only time will tell......
