Please, if any of you fine folks in and around Nashville can make it, please counter these useful idiots,
and show our CIC that we support him and our troops 100%.
Back in march, we ended up owning the coverage with our insight, and point of view, and we only had ten people!!!
I apologize again for the 11th hour heads up...
I recently started a new job, and have hardly been up for air lately...
Thanks, WOLICY_PONK

Way to go, Fellow Freeper Street Activists!

Of course it goes without saying - The More, The Merrier. But we have also had a number of great Freeps out here in Colorado where only 2 of us showed up. (And since one of us is clearly equal to 10 of them, this means we've usually got them outnumbered).

It's really very energizing to get all those supportive honks, now, isn't it?!?

Did your cellphone camera get anything at all?

Keep up the good work! And thank you.

Way to go! I live three or four hours from Nashville and would have loved to have attended. For the most part Tennesseans seem to be very pro-Bush. I wear a button daily at work and get a lot of grins and thumbs up. My guess is that most of the protesters were bussed in from outside TN. We have a few loud mouthed liberal idiots but they are fairly rare and usually get put in their place pretty fast. :-)

As always, God bless you guys for your yeoman's work against the farces of dorkness. I hope the stench of leftism didn't overwhelm your olfactory nerves. I hope to be with you guys in person, standing toe to toe one day soon as we let out our mighty battle cry, "Send in the clowns !"

"I hope the stench of leftism didn't overwhelm your olfactory nerves."

Much of the time I was standing near the hindquarters of the walking horses, so was relatively well off.

Thank you all for the kind words. I mentioned Free Republic several times but this reporter somehow left it out. Not surprising as his paper recently joined the ranks of those who forbid us from posting their articles. The kids have a term for that: Playa' haters.

my aunt and uncle shelled out massive moolah for their kid's to go to St. Ann's School in Brooklyn, NY.

What a friggin' racket.

A school that doesn't grade their students where ~25% of the student body gets into an Ivy League college where rampant grade inflation is the rule. It's a sweet life for slackers with a sense of entitlement.

Not all private schools are a "racket",but some are.

My daughter went to private schools, all her life. The "elite" boarding school she went to,in Mass.,was worth EVERY penny! The day school she went to,in Chicago( the same one Nancy Reagan went to,BTW)wasn't worth the money.

I must be honest.

New Rome carried more "water" than I. He is the energizer bunny of resoluteness on these matters.

I don't mean to trash all elite private schools. Not by a long shot. On average, private education in this country is far superior to public education, and I often find myself wishing that this country had never developed a "commitment" to public education. I went to one of the top 2 private school's in my state, and I believe it was the best money my parents ever spent on my behalf.

I just don't like the one's that use bogus teaching methods and coddle the children. This only makes them grow up to be self-centered and intellectually lazy. Consequently, my beef is with the fashionable, pie-in-the-sky private schools which have tried their best to eliminate discipline and competiveness from education.

There have ALWAYS been crazy private schools, which were a ripoff.Heck, this goes back 100s of years,to a time when the children of the rich, both here and in Europe, were tutored at home.Examples of this are strewn throughout many books;both fiction and nonfiction alike.

The best private schools are unbeatable...better than public, parochial, and home schooling educations. The lucky few,who attend them, get a superior education on ALL levels;personal and intellectual.
