SO MUCH FOR TACO BELL

SO MUCH FOR TACO BELL

I vote with my dollars. I don't shop at Wal-Mart because I don't appreciate Wal-Mart's disdain for the private property rights of American citizens. Now I'm adding Taco Bell to the list. No ... I'm not asking you to do the same. I'm just telling you what I'm going to do.

Taco Bell, you see, is asking customers for cute little sayings, "words of wisdom" they call it, to be printed on their little packets of hot sauce. Taco bell put out a little press release announcing the search for these "words of wisdom" and stating that the sayings should be simple and "left of center."

Now why would Taco Bell be pandering to the left like this? Could it possibly be because Taco Bell is the target of boycotts and demonstrations on college campuses across the nation? These know-it-all college students have some sort of a beef with the way Taco Bell treats tomato pickers. Well ... what better way to pander to the college know-it-all left wingers than to print little left-wing sayings on your hot sauce packets? And what better way to chase me away.

.... and your little dog too.

"Tapeworms live in intestines, without surgery there's no way to wave raw meat in front of them. This is how urban legends are born."

Thats right discostu. Everybody knows that to catch a tapeworm you have to get naked, lay on your side with your knees pulled up to your chest, have someone place a saucer of warm milk down close to your butt. Then grab the tapeworm as it slithers out to taste the milk. Then ya whack the heck outta it with a ball peen hammer!

Everybody knows this.

Some leftie board is making fun of this thread (Democratic Underground). They say we're "morans." I think they meant "morons."

I had a meal once from Taco Bell and it dawned on me where their missing little chihuahua went.

The Taco Bell in FC, VA is built on what should be an EPA superfund site.

I never eat there - It was the gas station I worked in as a kid...

I love the tag line -- IMO, Christopher Plummer is right up there with Montalban's 'Khan' in terms of great Star Trek villains.

I have never liked Taco Bell in the first place. So easy for me to boycott them!

Before my normal-carb diet, I used to eat at Taco Bell a lot. Their food and service was always superb. They served some of the tastiest food on the planet. Their exotic recipes would put most chefs to shame. I used to get their hard-shell tacos by the six-pack. Unfortunately I cannot eat this excellent food anymore on account of all the carbs. Anyway, I just thought I'd pipe in and say what a great Mexican restaurant Taco Bell is. It is a pity I cannot dine there anymore.

Here are a few to add to their list:

Your burrito was used as diaper before we served it to you.

The Taco Bell dog was actually a great dane that was fed a diet of tacos from birth.

WARNING: Be sure to wash this hot sauce off your hands BEFORE you use the restroom.

Our drive through personnel don't wear pants.

The change you received was just given to us by that smelly slob who was in line ahead of you.

Taco Bell may be doing this to solicit silly leftist quotes. In every election, they have a polling mechanism by assigning some sort of food to each candidate. In the California election, Gray Davis was the Chicken Soft Taco, and Arnold Schwarzenegger was the Crunchy Beef Taco. Bustamante was some sort of Chalupa or Gordita.

Anyway, they're probably going to have various sauce packets with silly slogans on them.

What food should Bush be? Nader? Kerry?

I hear you. My politics and morality are right wing. Just above everything else in my life is left of center.

left of center they don't always mean politically.

Sure it does. What other thoughts are "left of center?" If the person meant in left field or unusual, they should have said so.

Except for the "left of center" remark, this doesn't seem like a bad idea; those little packets get wasted, people grab them and never use them, but some time ago, some guy, survived on them, remember, he was trapped in his car for a while, all he had were little fast food sauce packs; catsup and what have you.
