Lindsey is taking them to the woodshed over not notifying the President about what CBS was gonna broadcast.
WHOA - Lindsey just said Dems are Drafting Article's of Impeachment against Rummy!
To: prairiebreeze
Oh Cripes! When it gets right down to it, Sen Graham is just pissed that the senators weren't notified earlier.
Yup sounds like it.

ABC news just did a news brief and used the portion between Rumsfeld and McCain. Where Rumsfled stumbled while being interupted by McCin.
Tried to make him sound like an idiot. That he couldn't answer question.
To: cyncooper
Well it's 'cause she slowly and very well read the speech written for her, then finally asked a question that had already been answered.

I want to know how people wearing those t-shirts even got into the hearing! Maybe they put them on after they got in. I wouldn't be surprised if the committee Rats didn't make arrangements to let them in. Did anyone see any pictures of the committee members while the protest was going on? I'll bet they were trying really hard to cover up the foolish grins on their faces.
Do you suppose by now the Pinkos have cashed their Tides Foundation checks and are now scouring DC looking to score some really good dope?

Hardball Last Night:
INHOFE: Well, you know, this is a casewere in the middle of a war right now. Theyveyou know, theyve gone through this thing where a lot of people used to think that there was not a connection between Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden. Now that has been changed.
People are looking for a political reason to be down on this administration. And certainly, the Iraqis are the first ones in line.
MATTHEWS: What are you saying? People now believe that the Iraqis had something to do with 9/11, Senator?
INHOFE: Oh, yes. I think so. We have that pretty well down in recent reports that have come out, that theres no question about the connection. In fact, I can hold up a report before you right now and read it to you, that this is something that was well known at that time.
MATTHEWS: The president himself, a couple weeks back said theres been no evidence of any connection between Iraqis and the attack on the United States on 9/11.
INHOFE: Were not talking about the attack on 9/11. Were talking about the connection between Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden.
Here is a report right here, that states in 1992, that theof the four closest friends that they had and they were working with, the last one is Osama bin Laden. Hes well known Saudi business leader, founder of the Saudi opposition in Afghanistan. And he has connections.
MATTHEWS: What report is that, so we know what that report is, Senator?
INHOFE: That report is called the, In the Name of Allah, the Merciful and Compassionate, Top Secret, Republic of Iraq, in 28-3-1992. I dont know how their calendars work. Intelligence services.
MATTHEWS: OK. Thank you.

I think Graham's making a fair point; you're also making a very good one regarding the Democrats' desire to leak the stuff.

Rummy should tell those calling for his resignation to shut up and sit down. His has two bosses - the POTUS and the citizens of the US.
To: Sacajaweau
The thought of a Bush adminsitration without Donald Rumsfeld is very very scary and sad to me.
To: Dog
Exactly.
Let them try to impeach him!
To: GottaLuvAkitas1
Let's just give everything to the RATS because we KNOW they will do the "honorable" thing and release them to the press. PUKS!

Lindsey Graham: Have you seen the video.
Rumsfeld: The video is not on the disk he has.
Graham: Will be disappointed if only people prosecuted are sergeants and privates. To General Smith: When did you see the photos?
Smith: Toward the end of March. Told his boss. Was aware we would look bad if they had been released.
Myers: Did not see photos before he called CBS. Had been described to him. When he was informed they would come out, -- media knew there were photos and were trying to get their hands on them. Myers was concerned about impact on our forces in Iraq in the intensity of operations -- would be worst of all possible times, but realizing that they would come out.
He and Rumsfeld discussed potential damage in March.
Graham: Problem: Doesn't take rocket scientist to figure out explosive nature of photos. Most of us found out on TV. Why not call president and senior members of congress to prepare them?
Myers: We could have done better.
Graham: Calling for Rumsfeld's resignation, drafting Articles of Impeachment. Do you believe that you are able to carry on in a bipartisan manner?
Rumsfeld: Has given a lot of thought. Key question whether he can be effective. We have tough tasks. Military and civilian in dept are doing enormously important work. The issue is whether R can be effective in assisting them. If he felt he couldn't, he would resign in a minute. But will not resign because people try to make a political issue out of it.
