I can't stomach much more of this contrived outrage.
Senator, the facts are somewhat different than that!

Rumsfeld after Byrd's diatribe: "Senator the facts are somewhat different than that"
(indeed they are--very different)
Rumsfeld says the story was "broken" by the military. Presented by the Central Command to the world.
Ridiculous to say the media broke this.
Classified documents and pictures were leaked to the press.
Byrd says he'll put his timeline in the record against Rumsfeld's and see who is borne out (duh--Rumsfeld's already documented to be correct)

"Specialist Darby told superior that he had information about abuses (jan 13 or 14); on Jan 16, allegations announced and said they were being investigated."Jan 16 is a long time ago in these matters. It appears that without the photo evidence, that this was going to keep 'being investigated', 'unread' and 'somewhere in the chain of command'.
And the photos probably surfaced here because they were about to be published elsewhere with a more detrimental effect. Maybe there is a lot of scrubbing off the fingerprints of outsourced interrogators. The army was downsized and it shows.

My prayer to God and my dream would be, a HUGE backlash from the American people against the libmediawhores, those senators thrown out of office and W's poll numbers going through the roof along with a landslide victory in November!

Qeustion to Rummy: Is a presidential apology to the King of Jordan sufficient?
Rummy recounts all the announcements presented by CENTCOM to the world. Was not know that a classified report would be given to press before release.
Byrd: Was apology to King of Jordan sufficient?

Sorry, I'm not usually this crass, but I am just livid over this crap. No apology necessary.

"McCain is losing any points he received at Tillman's funeral. He's doing a Ben Veniste performance. McCain is still trying out for Kerry's VP"
McCain has too much cancer to run, and his wife is in the hospital. I doubt he will run.

LOL...I thought he said "fingerprinting" too, then figured I must have heard wrong. "Is an apology to the king of Jordan enough?" Rummy: "Sir, there have been many apologies."

I still would like to know how CBS got those pictures. And - where's the outrage from everybody in the media that those pictures were leaked? I guess the fact that they can be harmful to President Bush doesnt qualify it for being a leak. No bias there is there??
