Portland has an excellent metro system.
I doubt if they planned to take out/destroy anything in Portland.
Portland, thanks to the liberal mayor, city council and citizens who hate America has become a haven/sanctuary for these Islamo animals.
So they probably stay in Portland on welfare or have a job with the city and plan to kill people around the world.

Portland Man Linked To Spain Terror Attacks
PORTLAND, ORE. - A Portland man was arrested by FBI agents Thursday as part of the investigation into the deadly train bombings in Spain, federal officials said.
The man, identified by Newsweek as Portland attorney Brandon Mayfield, a convert to Islam, was taken into custody on a material witness warrant, said a senior law enforcement official, speaking on condition of anonymity.
The arrest is the first known in the United States with connections to the March 11 bombings in Madrid that took the lives of nearly 200 people.
The attack was Europe's worst since the 1988 bombing of a Pan Am jetliner over Lockerbie, Scotland that killed 270 people.
Since that day, March 11, 2004 has become a day of infamy, which many compared to the September 11, 2001 attacks in the United States.
The FBI also searched the man's home, which he shares with his wife, the official said.
Beth Anne Steele, a spokeswoman for the FBI in Portland, confirmed two search warrants had been served Thursday in Washington County, which includes parts of Portland, but she would not release further details.
Sue Rutledge, of the U.S. Attorney's Office in Portland, said the warrants were served in the cities of Portland and Beaverton.
She could not comment about whether the warrants were connected to the train bombings in Madrid, or whether there had been any arrests.
Material witness warrants, usually kept confidential by a federal judge, are used by the government to hold people suspected of having direct knowledge about a crime or to allow time for further investigation into the witness.
Officials would not provide any further details about the man or his alleged connection with the Madrid bombings, which killed 191 people and injured 2,000 others.
Spanish authorities blame the attack on Islamic extremists, possibly linked to al-Qaida.
Eighteen people have been charged to date in Spain - six charged with mass murder and the others with collaboration or with belonging to a terrorist organization.

The report on TV at the bottom-of-the-hour said his fingerprints were found on one of the bags used in the Madrid bombing to carry materials by the perps.

"Brandon Mayfield, a convert to Islam who is tangentially linked to one of the chief defendants in the so-called Portland Seven casea suspected terror cell in Oregon whose six surviving members pled guilty last year of plotting to fight for the Taliban against U.S. soldiers during the war in Afghanistan."
A little Nation of Islam, Black Muslim, al Fuqra at work here?
Was he their lawyer or a volunteer to their legal team?

When the Oregon cell was taken down, they found a weapons cache. Among the numerous, shells and rifles, was "A SINGLE CASING", the same caliber as the Bushmaster. BUT, there was no weapon which matched up with it.
Since the mention of "A SINGLE CASING" was so noticeable, I thought it might be a souvenir of a sort. AFTER, the sniper shootings, I thought it might be the sniper's "remember me" souvenir to one of his Muslim, USA hating friends.

I thought I heard Shep Smith (Fox News) say that they were led to this guy by a (his) fingerprint found on some of the explosives in Madrid. Did anyone else hear that?

Check this out, from another source:
"MSNBC and Newsweek Magazine reported the FBI received evidence from Spanish authorities that Mayfields fingerprints allegedly were found on a bag containing bomb material associated with the March 11 railway attacks."
Now THAT is bad. I had figured it was more a "provide advice" kinda thing, but if his prints are on the bag...woah.

A convert to Islam....How did we know??
And when we get one, we usually wind up with more than one. Let's see what happens here. Someone is on the ball to look for this guy in the first place.
