If we only kill more cheesehead over there, I hope it's the grinning Clymer from those pictures.

The men and women in the military posting responses have said they are angry and outraged at the abusers and say there is no place for this in the military. They are being harmed by the acts of a few,but they are angry at the few and the conditions that allowed it.

Step 2 is to start sending these pictures to the GOP members of congress and flooding the press mailboxes along with text that says:
Dear Iraqis... you first!

Good point.
There are no words for those pictures linked here of our soldiers.
I just don't see how we can expect those animals to "apologize". It doesn't give us the right to lower ourselves to their standards, as much as I would like to. That being said, I don't know what I would do if I was a soldier over there, guarding their POWs. I would probably walk the thin line, hopefully not stepping over into the realm of vengeance in the form of murder. It's one thing to kill them in battle, another to kill a POW, I think, even if they don't hold the same ideas.
Hey Ronnie, correct me if I am wrong.

Some of the responses from Freepers is frustrating as they see nothing wrong with what happened. After reading the thread on the actual charges I am sick. The few who did this will forever live in their own personnal hell.
War may be hell and people die but here is no excuse for this.

Personally I think this stuff is a hoax and or blown out of proportion
Certainly not a hoax. The army began an investigation into these abuses last January (i.e., very quickly after the abuses themselves occurred). Here's an excerpt from a New Yorker article describing the investigation:
"A month later, General Karpinski was formally admonished and quietly suspended, and a major investigation into the Armys prison system, authorized by Lieutenant General Ricardo S. Sanchez, the senior commander in Iraq, was under way. A fifty-three-page report, obtained by The New Yorker, written by Major General Antonio M. Taguba and not meant for public release, was completed in late February. Its conclusions about the institutional failures of the Army prison system were devastating. Specifically, Taguba found that between October and December of 2003 there were numerous instances of sadistic, blatant, and wanton criminal abuses at Abu Ghraib."

Thank you for posting the pictures. It is our President who needs to answer the question.
Who holds the enemy accountable? Or is it that someone else's child is "cheap blood"?

This is no hoax, the guys still in Iraq are angry and will have a harder time than ever for the actions of a few.
